You're talking past/present tense when he hasn't actually done anything yet is my point...but--yes, the cheque would be cleared by now, it's normally somewhere between winding down training and fight night. Has he made the gesture/donation(s) yet? Okay he has loads of stuff and people to pay off and needs to organise his finances before he does anything; the last thing on his mind right now...fair enough. But wait until he actually does it before you start the canonisation routine is all I'm saying. The hagiography can wait a few weeks surely? Words are cheap. No way it will be a big % of his purse btw. Tell you that now, but would still be a decent, humane thing to do I concur. If he does.

Tyson . has stated he will donate Saturday`s purse to the homeless because he going to end up like most boxers anyway, being skint at the end of his career so he might as well do something good with his money while he can! Do you think this is noble or irrational?!

He was high as a kite when he said that. All publicity talk.

If it wasn’t about money he’d already have fought AJ. Only a fool would believe this BS.

I applaud anyone willing to help people. I don't know where he can even start thought, LA has plenty of desperately poor and homeless. I respect Fury for that and also trying to inspire people to overcome mental health issues.

Tyson Fury has already told this lie before. IIRC, he told the papers that he was skint and on jobseekers allowance, having given all his money away to charity and the homeless.

It's just the same lie repackaged.

Nice move on his behalf. I always like it when athletes give back to the community.

True charity is done anonymously and asks for no recognition. Several studies have shown that anonymous donations induce larger donations than public ones.

I sort of cringe when I see highly celebrated figures conduct their charity publicly. It's like they are seeking some sort of redemption or trying to curry favor.
