It appears that undefeated British/Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury´s next fight will be against undefeated 6'5 Norwegian Leif Dolonen Larsen (14-0, 11KOs), who in the past have been playing American football in the N F L. Larsen, 36, later turned to boxing and made his pro debut in 2003 and since then racked up 14 straight wins in an on and off career. Fury (15-0, 10KOs) was expexted to fight Martin Rogan on this date but that matchup fell through over money. Fury returns on September 17th at Kings Hall, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

That really would be a bad opponent if it happens.

I guess it's better than no one, I give Fury credit for wanting to stay busy unlike just about every other British prospect, atleast it will get another terrestrial airing and should do decent figures and if it's decent then consider it a success.

If this is on 5 i rather Fury doesn`t fight, this could be a farce.I agree with what Bunce said on his podcast that if Fury stops a nobody in a couple rounds then all the momentem from the Chisora fight could be lost and viewers would swich off.Rogan or perez would of been great, this could backfire badly.

But this guy, 14-0 (11), has a better knockout record than Fury, 15-0 (10) :think

Why is this Larsen chap seeming to be considered a worse opponent than the awful Tom Dallas on here? It's better than a kick up the arse if you ask me. He isn't the worst opponent to use to pad your record.

Well, I guess he's pretty old, has no name value, and has never fought anyone with a close to decent record. He could turn out to be a decent opponent on the night, but I see this being a tough one to sell people on.

I actually agree with this. It's a pity 5 are going to show it because the fight will certainly not encourage the channel to expand boxing coverage. But for Fury himself, it's good that he is keeping busy against unexposed, ambitious fighters.

No one to blame here other then the guys who won't put pen to paper when asked to fight Fury. Corbett's attitude was refreshing and right IMO.

Larsen's better then nothing and it's not like Tyson likes fighting soft touches. The guys not much cop but he's unbeaten and will come to win i'd expect which is better then some Latvian that Price padded record upon early doors.
