With Usyk giving Wilder a shot, who can blame Fury for wanting back in on the action?

Yes, but he's coming back for the money.
He still gets paid if he loses.

So I don’t think Fury will want any part of Wardley unless Turki is offering him stupid money.

But hypothetically, what’s the risk? Even if he got sparked out, it doesn’t really diminish the hype or interest in a Joshua fight does it? People keep paying Whyte and Chisora fortunes no matter how often they lose, and Fury is levels above them.

And if he wins, he’s right back at the front of the queue to fight Usyk, and can take that payday while keeping AJ on the back burner for another 9-12 months.

Fury v AJ is 5-7 years too late anyway, but will still be a ginormous fight now whether Fury has lost to Wardley or not.

Don't forget Wlad wobbling and dropping him.
I am not a big fan of Joshua to be honest, but i am of boxing, and i have massive respect for him as a fighter, he has achieved what most fighters can only dream of.
Personally i would rather he left it alone now, after losing his close friends in the way they did, must be absolutely devastating for him, and his camps without those two poor souls will never be the same.
He himself came very close to not being here today, so just walk away i would say and enjoy the rest of his life and have no regrets.

The risk is if he loses again, he loses negotiation power(or some of it at least) which in all honesty is in his favour currently
I don't think anyone at the latter end of their career is gonna give Wardley the fight

Yes life is short and he has gave his all in the boxing ring.

He will never recover from the trauma last week and the boxing ring is a lonely place to be when not 100% fit physically and mentally.

    Totally agree mate.
You are a long time dead, so make the most of the short life you have on this place.
And always remember to have a nice day, because it could be ones last.
    Go enjoy!!

He's not fighting Wardley. If Joshua doesn't come back, he'll have a turn-up or two and then call it. He says he wants 250million. He's not going to get that, but without Joshua, there is no winnable big fight at all.

    Too true.

We have seen enough fighters through the ages actually have breakdowns during fights, McCall etc to other fighters openly saying in various books and interviews in ring they knew they were not mentally there.

For various reasons say like Tim Witherspoon v Boncrusher Smith as financially ripped off for the Bruno fight and simply mentally so upset, treated so badly by King . Some taking punishment and not caring.

AJ is a rich guy, means nothing as he sadly nearly found out and his close friends did.

Can't talk for other people but my own view is simply no point being the richest man in the graveyard.

It is no coincidence that 2025 was an absolute dross year of boxing & also the first year Fury did not fight since 2017

I think he is done personally, will come unstuck against any semi decent heavyweight, age, miles on the clock, time away and the constant weight ballon plus alcohol and drugs, he is cooked

I'd like him to come back and get sparked out, that would be nice, then donate his purse to the homeless.
