It's been on sale for about three thousand years and is only just over 50% sold. It's been ridiculously slow to say the least.

Fight will catch up speed now as with the world cup ending: Talksport will now promote it.

I'm expecting sales of 18-20k which is pretty good.

Why do people keep referencing the first fight as criticism of this fight? It was a long time ago and both fighters have come on a long way.

Look it's very good card and it's less than 2 weeks away. Surely, people should just look forward to it.

Looking at eventim and taking into account the fact that half the arena has never been available for sale, a lot of the tickets originally for sale have been given to the fighters to sell there is absolutely no way it could have sold 12-13k tickets

I think you are the one showing the bias. Nobody can deny this is a very good show.

The box office would disagree for the 'most anticipated fight in decades'

Doing 13k at those prices is quite impressive actually. The issue with this fight is that WBO Title shot is so far in the future it's almost worthless.

It hasn't done 13k as there's loads of tickets left and only half the phones 4u arena was for sale

Same reason you have to log in to see the brit sectio on boxrec and they automatically change his name to "allegedly". I allege that he is enthusiastically litigious.

@Bozz1983, the following is not directed at you:

I actually hope he'll be around until somebody else replaces him, it's no good for anybody if matchroom attains a monopoly. He may be safety first as a manager (I'm of the opinion being manager and promotor is a conflict of interests btw) but he's made a lot of fighters a decent living over the years who otherwise might have been annihilated in an ill judged step up and never heard of again. I'm mentioning this because he's slagged Hearn several times on ifilm for making fights he wouldn't and whether I agree or no, I take his his point.

Even were the only distinction between the two, I think it's best for fighters that they at least have the choice of career paths/promotional institutions. We're all guilty at one time or another of being purists and not considering that these guys actually have lives and might just see the sport as a means to provide for they and theirs.
There's also the possibility that if matchroom had zero competition they'd be free to go the same way as they'd be the only product on the market.

This is entirely independant of my opinion of multiple titles/rankings ftr.

Bloody hell, you're an optimist! Do you expect your dick to grow to 12 inches when it's fully erect too?!

Regardless of ticket sales or any of that , its a quality card, a big main event, and to say any different , well you can't be much of a boxing fan.

Just rewatched the first fight it isnt that bad,

Also is it a bit of a myth about tysons bad chin. Del boy was heavy for first fight and landed some bombs but tyson took them.

Either that or del boy aint got no power
