Sanchez impressive but the cuban style too patient for the professional ranks. Guys are just going to avoid you...crowds not entertained and not really doing promoters any favours either. Hes similar to ortiz all the skill in the world but they spend more time just frustrating opponents and often the crowd as well. As much as i appreciate the skill and am impressed with sanchez...he needs to be showing more to get his name out there. Otherwise join the who needs them club. You get the feeling the style would flourish with a few tweaks as well. Great counterpunchers...but they need to work on opening opponents up more as well.
Yeah you’ve got to be entertaining and pass the risk/reward test. I can’t see many rushing to fight Sanchez.
Hopefully for him training alongside Canelo he can pull some strings for him and get him a shot a title.
I’d say he’s nothing like Wilder. He was just to hesitant. He seems to have good fundamentals but was clueless in there. Having said that it’s harsh to be too critical because Sanchez’ style is extremely unorthodox.
Perfect oppertunity wasted tonight for him imo. You get the feeling the style would actually translate well at the higher level. Works at the lower level. Works with the mid level...but its there it starts to get less entertaining...and people start avoiding them for the next level. Should take more risks tonight at that mid level imo.
