Agreed, I think Chisora would beat Wilder quicker nevermind Whyte, AJ and Hunter. After Hughie deals with Hammer Sky should look to make the Wilder fight as its a very winnable fight for Hughie that would boost him up in rankings.
Nah I said during the fight mate it was the right thing to do, even though it ultimately cost him down the line. He tried something different, Fury couldn’t bully him and it made for a much more interesting fight - fair play to him.
Wilders stock has gone up massively in defeat. It's now very plausible to say Fury > Wilder > Joshua which wasn't the case before this fight. Fury showed that being a "good boxer" doesn't mean you stink the place all time, but you can (and must always aim to) entertain and put on a crowd pleasing performance. That being said, Fury has 0 power and poor finishing pedigree which is understandable because he rarely has to knock someone out. Wilder was out on his feet THE MAJORITY OF THE FIGHT. Weariness has its place but it shouldn't have taken much to knock him out in that state. Whoever beats Fury needs a gas tank, power and courage. Chin and high boxing skill isn't relevant, Wilder showed that. Joshua has great power and a decent gas tank but hasn't got the courage or disrespect to put it on Fury from round one, too tentative and too measured.
the initial 5 count seemed extremely slow and he should have been at 8 by the time he counted 6. Like I said I need to see it again but I’d bet a fair amount now that that ought to have been a ten count.
I wonder what Wilder's excuses will be, Someone jizzed in his cornflakes? A cow fell on his head in the build up? Fury has iron dildos in his gloves?
Agreed, Usyk wins. This isn’t the best version of Fury by any means, I think he’s nowhere near what he was in the Klit fight.
I think in any of the fights you’ve mentioned, it’s a lot closer than you think. They’re all quite open to be hit by Wilder and he does have the power to stop anyone of them. None of them have the movement that Fury has and he’s caught Fury a number of times with that big right hand….
He will, possibly rightly, argue that he had Fury down for a legitimate 10 count. Need to see the video ASAP.
I'll post on the right thread now. What a brilliant fight. Both fighters played their part, was there 5 knockdown all together? Both have unbelievable heart. That will go down as a classic. To be critical, it was a great fight because it was a incredibly sloppy 'technical' performance from Fury. His footwork betrayed him several times, he was sloppy, reckless, gung-ho. Even when he was smashing Wilder everywhere he was still getting hurt with shots. He didn't use his jab like he normally does. I thought some posters were being a bit dramatic about his mindset leading up to this but it showed tonight that they were right. Anyway. Off to bed.

No doubt Fury is the superior fighter. Clearly. I’m not running any excuses right now. I clearly stated we need to see a replay. I’m not making any firm opinions until I see the replay of that count.
