@MrBarry465 Fury would love to fight AJ in December, though.

Or Hearn decides that the money to be made from a fight with Fury is just too good to refuse and the fight is agreed . The Fury fight is the biggest money maker by far for Matchroom in there history and so I would not be surprised one bit if he accepted the fight .

It makes a lot more money if AJ gets a few cheap wins under his belt.

Isn't Usyk the one delaying the fight with Fury?

Great, both save said they want a fight in December so make it happen. Or they just BS'ing like usual, and will each get an opponent no one wants to see. I'll have to see it to believe.

Seems like a negotiating tactic courtesy of Warren - i.e.

"If you don't like my latest purse split proposal, you are welcome to try getting a larger-sized purse fighting somebody else".

Not a bad tactic, IMO, considering that Wilder, Joyce, Parker, Hrgovic, Zhang, Mahkmudov have all fought very recently or are about to fight in the immediate future. I suppose the upcoming fights of Wilder, Mahkmudov, and even Joyce or Parker could be cancelled in the name of getting Usyk an opponent - but even those buyouts won't come cheap because Usyk's camp will be in a tight spot.

Maybe this is Ivan Dychko's big chance? I am saying this entirely seriously.

    Not sure about that.

The agreement between DAZN and Joshua/Hearn requires AJ to fight at least twice a year.

For all I know his loss to Usyk resulted in a termination of that deal (these deals usually have some sort of "non-performance" clause) - but if it didn't - then they will probably want a big-money fight. In any case, if they can't make money off AJ any longer - they will probably want ot know sooner rather than later.

@BeantownAll I wanted to say Joshua and Hearn wouldn't want to fight Fury in December. Of course, Joshua could do a tune up fight in December, to fulfill his agreement with DAZN, someone like Christian Hammer or David Allen.

AJ is almost 33 years-old. He'd need close to 4 months rest before another 6-7 week fight camp. He needs the rest more than a tune-up.

A Fury-Joshua fight could be announed now, but I think you'd be looking at an end-of-January fight date at the earliest.

Disagree. Feasting on a couple journeyman and gatekeepers is not going to resotre AJ's A-side luster. And with the time spent on that the division could move on and DAZN could lose interest.

He even ducked Roman Reigns. Sad.

No, he just doesn't want to fight in December. Early 2023.
