You can't learn anything from the Fury/Cunningham fight in regards to Price, Cunningham is the opposite of him, he's fast, skillful, and has good movement, and clearly this gave a big lump like Fury problems, he couldn't pin him down. We learned that Haye would give Fury fits, not Price. People talk about Cunningham being a cruiserweight without talking about the strengths that can bring, stylistically he presents more problems for Fury than Price does.

There are Cruiserweights who can be good at Heavyweight. Cunningham is not such a Cruiserweight. A guy like Huck could be better at Heavyweight than Cunningham, although Cunningham would beat Huck at Cruiserweight! (At least he beat him in his prime)
Also people forget that Cunningham is past his prime.

Seriously, I'm sorry for flaming, but I'm sick of the bull being talked around this fight.

Point 1: We didn't learn that Haye would give Fury fits. If you didn't already know that then there is no hope.

Point 2: Fury clearly could pin Cunningham down. That's how he managed to knock him into next week.

And this is just absolute gobledeegook. Although if you're foreign, and a good point is being lost in translation. I'm sorry. In fact I'm not. You're talking bollocks regardless of your native tongue.

    1. There's thinking things and then there's seeing it with your own eyes.

    2. Fury pinned Cunningham down when he changed his game plan and started walking him down, when he was boxing as usual though he could not pin him down, his jab was too slow.

    Cheers.

Sorry and why? Would you not agree that a Cruiserweight like HAye is better than a Cruiserweight like Cunningham? At least when both are fighting at Heavyweight?:patsch
Cunningham just lacks the power and strength to be a strong heavyweight.

    Bollocks.

if you didn't know for a fact before last Saturday that Haye would KO Fury then quite frankly you belong in a mental home. Or you should at least be signed up for meals on wheels.

So he could pin him down? Thanks for clearing that up.

If you cant see the sense it is your fault.
Really... How cant you see the fact that there are Cruiserweights who are better suited to heavyweight than other Cruiserweights? A Cruiserweight with a strong chin and a lot of power is clearly better suited for heavyweight than a featherfisted Cruiserweight with a bad chin:patsch.

Maybe not. But he is clearly a better suited (for the heavyweight division) Cruiserweight than Cunningham! Cunningham is featherfisted AND has not a good chin. It was clear from the begining that Cunningham wont go far in the heavyweight division. He júst had not the tools for it.

But he never went anywhere as a cruiser either...

So I guess what you're saying is some boxers are better than others. Can't disagree with that. Although you could have done without some nonsensical diatribe in trying to get your point across.

Here's a factoid for you: USS has the same height and reach as Foreman. But you're telling me that Cunningham ain't an heavyweight.

Here's the truth: Cruiserweight is basically a lifestyle choice for **** heavyweights.

Wait so you think just cos he knocked Cunningham out he looked good? What If Martinez hadn't made the count against Chavez jr? Does that turn jr's performance into a boxing master class?

Fury looked bad, his footwork was appalling, he wasn't throwing his shots properly, was being out jabbed for most of the fight until he had worn Cunningham down by leaning on him (not saying he shouldn't have used that tactic btw) he doesnt know how to use his reach or height properly either. Overall he's just not that good.

Fury has improved in his last couple of outings, no doubt, but he is still leagues behind championship material.

Price got caught, so what it's happened to millions of them... he has more to prove now though.

but I'd STILL bet Pricey over Fury!

No you dont get the point I am afraid. I make it easy. Cunningham would beat Huck at Cruiserweight.
Yet Huck could be more succesful at heavyweight than Cunningham because he has attributes who are important for the heavyweight division which Cunningham has not. (Power, good chin, physical strong). This has nothing to do if a fighters is better than another! It is about the style. Hucks fighting style and his attributes would make him more succesful than Cunningham at heavyweight.
It is really not hard to understand.
And this was also my point with Haye. A prime Cunningham might beat Haye at Cruiserweight, yet Haye has attributes wich make him a much better heavyweight than Cunningham ever will be.
