Uh, since I have a relatively happy marriage, a child that I love more than anything, a six-figure salary, a four bedroom, three bath house, am well-traveled and have self-published a couple of books, I don't have a lot to make excuses for. My books did not make me rich or famous, and I have no trouble saying that is because they were nothing special. Can't think of another damn thing I would make an excuse about.
So in other words wilder got this far with just luck? And If he beat fury who is the favorite it would all be because of luck? Not because of his power?
I think there's a chance Wilder went a year without putting on a pair of gloves. Fury has also been inactive and we saw before when he's inactive he's low output. Chances are this leads to Wilder looking his worst ever, totally unprepared, easy decision or late KO for Fury in a slow, sloppy event. What's sparring will Wilder have? What does Malik Scott know about dealing with this complex situation? There's a smaller chance that this is the break Wilder needed to recover physically after being one of the most active HWs. In this case he gets a controversial decision for being the aggressor and home fighter. I doubt it though I think this is his best chance.
People are reading excessively into the last Fury. Even the best of fighters have that one bad day in the office. Doesn't mean the next fight will be exactly the same. A guy who has knocked out 99% of his opponents and knocked down 100% of his opponents is not to be laughed at or dismissed blindly. There is no guarantee if Wilder lands his best punch on Furys chin that Fury will be able to take it. Fury Regards Wilder as a bigger threat than AJ and feels Wilder will knock AJ out so I am hopeful he will not take Wilder lightly despite the dominant performance in the last fight but I hope he is mentally up for going the distance if his early aggression doesn't work this time
He hasn't gotten that far. His best wins were Stiverne 1 and Ortiz 1, neither of which is all that great. You are an idiot. I already mentioned that Wilder has power, and have said nothing of luck. I would really like to be done with you. Good night.
Got how far? To the point where he's a former champ with a bunch of title defences? That can never be by "just" luck, there has to be something more than that and Wilder is athletic with significant height and reach advantage over most even at heavy, and of course had a huge one-punch power. However... He won his belt against a B-grade fighter in Stiverne, fought most of his defences against fighters who had no business fighting for belts, managed to avoid the one mandatory that would've annihilated him thanks to a failed drugs test (Povetkin) and his best defence was against an ancient Ortiz with a paper thin resume... Oh, and only has this fight in the first place because of exceptionally poor scoring on one of the cards in the first. Put all that together and I'd say you have far more luck than its reasonable to expect... So, by luck and by duck?
Excellent! I would say Wilder needs to not react and go defensive when Fury fients. He should unload the right or as you mentioned, jab. Fury did a great job fienting Wilder out of offensive position. Personally, I feel Fury whoops him again.
Fury KO in 3-4. Wilder will tepidly try something different in round 1, get caught early and hang on for another couple rounds while reverting to his prior style and desperately look to land a haymaker, then get stopped.
Yea exactly everything you said is correct. But he also got here with his power not just luck. If Wilder beats Fury it will be because Wilders power.
It makes Furys life easier because he knows Wilder has no other way to win aside from his power. He will just prevent him from landing it. It will be interesting to see the planning and adjustments Team Wilder will make
Wilder tries a new gameplan and is very cautious, His gameplan works and he makes it to round 6ish before tiring out and losing steam at some point after round 6 possibly to a TKO or just getting pummeled for the rest of the fight
