He was arrested before the Chisora fight and couldn't get a Visa. The fight was agreed and signed. I think they'd even started selling tickets for it. Whyte turned down 2 final eliminators for Wilder. The reason he was 'frozen out' of the mandatory spot is because he wouldn't fight final eliminators like the self-entitled idiot he is, then cried about it.
No, ranked number 1 and MR offered Wilder the fight and Wilders team turned it Down. Stated if even becomes mandatory he would freeze him out. Apart from agrees fight with Chisora earlier in in his career, Wilder then turned down an offer to fight Chisora by MR. Face it Wilder has constantly avoided the likes of Wlad, AJ, Whyte, Povetkin, Parker to fight low level opposition.
Wilder has faced the best heavyweight in the world twice and going in again. Tiny Dosh PPV has had a career full of old, small, fat, scared and stale puddings. The Usyk fight is his 2nd genuine test after Old Kilt - the rest were puddings and even King Pud stopped him.
If by best HW you mean Fury then Wilder obviously picked him as he looked to horribly out of shape and poor against two low level opposition upon his return. It was a cherry pick soft opponent gone wrong. As John Fury stated any HW worth their salt would have beaten Fury in the condition he was first fight. WBC forced Fury as mandatory as they thought Eilder stood a better chance against him and stole Whytes mandatory. I don't think beating the likes of Pianetta, Sefrei, Wallin, Wilder Schwarz in over 5 years makes you top HW. Especially compared to top resumes like AJ, Whyte and Povetkin.
Take those Earn Sunglasses off mate as I am splitting my sides laughing. Wilder is going back in for a 3rd dose of Fury, the Lineal, only undefeated and best by a mile of a very bad current crop of Heavyweights. Tony Dosh PPV has it all to prove when he eventually faces a 50/50 test.
So Wilder was a poor champion for Fury, and Fury was a cherry pick for Wilder. It's a miracle they've both been a world champion. Slating Wilder in order to discredit Fury doesn't make AJ's resume of old men any better.
Fury best by mile how? Beating Wilder who has a paper thin cherry picker resume and beating a bunch of guys outside the top 40 in the last 5 years? In the word of Fish eyes "Do me a favour!".
V Who has Wilder beaten of any merit? His most notable win is Ortiz who only notable win was years before against Jennings.
Tony Dosh PPV beaten badly by a fat little pudding with huge man boobs - the equivalent of Butterbean in a previous era. This will forever be on any 'funniest moments in boxing' along with footage of people paying PPV for all those fights against puddings. Eh Day is the head of a cult, brainwashes the thick cohort of PPV Mugths with shyte and they all eat it. Tony Dosh PPV title win against Charles Martin and subsequent defences are right up there with Mitch87's Blue Peter Badge
You're talking about the resumes of Whyte and Povetkin but they're lining Whyte up to fight someone Wilder beat 5 years ago ffs. Ortiz was also Hearn's top choice to replace Miller. You'd have been including him on AJ's great resume if that had gone ahead.
Top Heavyweights: 1. Tyson Fury 2. Wilder 3. Tony Dosh PPV 4. Usyk 136. Dullian Whyte 1031. Dull Boy Chisora
I think you are being a bit generous to Wilder here. His resume is woeful. He did take the Fury fight as he thought he was getting him at the right time post the weight loss and hiatus. Got beat twice. Best win on his resume is Stiverne.
The Whyte fight would have happened if Whyte would have fought the eliminator against Ortiz......... as well documented He signed to fight Povetkin who then failed a drugs test Ruiz just went the distance with Arreola who Wilder got rid of years ago Parker................ lol. Maybe he would stand a chance if he ever actually let his hands go. He'd wipe the floor with Pulev... a fighter who Ortiz would've also taken care of.
The thing people almost never address when looking at Fury's record, is that, yes, he's fought a few poor fighters in the past five years. But those fights were comebacks after nigh on 3 years out of the ring, ballooning up to 30 stone and not doing any boxing or training whatsoever. So having a few warm up fights is probably allowed in that situation. People seem to conveniently forget this, but in the same sentence say that Joshua has fought this that and the other during the same time period. One thing's for sure, if Joshua all but retired at 26, ballooned to Butterbean weight, I very much doubt he would come back and reclaim a belt from Sports Direct, let alone travel to America and defeat someone as dangerous, if limited, as Wilder. The reality is, Fury has fought some puddings, Wilder has fought some puddings, Joshua has fought some puddings, but only one had 3 years of his prime out of the ring and came back to do what most thought was all but impossible.
