Well I’m glad we agree on that. I’m not buying just because he’s faced Fury it makes him any good, Chisora was competitive in one fight - doesn’t make him good either.
Well it's not a gap really is it if he fighting all the top quality opposiion? Away fighting only comes into factor really when there has been home biased judging, which hasn't happened in AJ fight as of yet. Not fighting "away" only seems to used as negative against certain fighters and in particular AJ and Calzaghe. Although this never used negatively towards say Tyson and Roy Jones who didn't beat anyone of note "away". I'd argue Furys second best is his win over chisora (before he turned into a born again and took his training seriously) more impressive than beating Wilder.
Which he's not. As for Chisora being a better win than Wilder, he's been beaten 11 times ffs. He's a big useless pudding who's barely European level, as shown by his defeats to Helenius and Kabayel.
Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz and Pulev all top quality fighters (with better resumes than Wilder). Difference with Chisora Is that he actually fights top fighters unlike wilder- Haye, prime Fury, usyk, Parker, Whyte are all too fighters (Wilder gets beat by all of these). Only 2 who werent Helenius (which Chisora was robbed) and Kabayel (came in unmotivated and if I recall correctly also didn't have a coach at the time too).
Are we using 'unmotivated' as a legitimate excuse now haha. Who's Pulev's best win - Chisora? Hughie Fury? Kevin Johnson?
Have you not seen the fight? It was clear Chisora wasn't up to usual level, fitness or workmate. Doesn't mean he would beat Kabayel if he was but it clear Chisora wsnt up to his usual standard that fight. Pulev best wins are Chisora (which better of opponent than Wilder has ever beaten) and Hughie (who I argue talent wise would beat both Wilder and ortiz).
What is Chisora's usual level? He's absolute garbage. If you think Hughie Fury would beat Wilder you need a lay down.
Also funny how Chisora has lost to Parker, Whyte and Kabayel (amongst many others) but would beat Ortiz. Funny that. Anything to do with Ortiz being a Wilder opponent?
Chisora a high Euro level fighter and gatekeeper to the world level I think. Beaten other Euro level fighters in Takam, Price and should of had a win over Helenius. Gives world level opposition tough competitive fights as he proven on May occasions. Wilder can't out box Hughie that a given, Hughie also has a great defence and one of best chins in the division. I don't think Wilder would be able to land on him.
Who has Oelrtiz beaten? Jennings over 5 years ago who is on par with Takam and hasn't done anything else of note except turn down fights against the likes of AJ and Whyte.
Well it’s a thread about Joshua so that’s why we’re talking about him. You could start your own thread about other people not fighting away to prevent the whataboutism. It clearly does provide a large competitive advantage. It allows for marginal gains (see what the Klitschko’s attempted with the ring vs Fury), favourable scoring and a crowd helping to influence the score by roaring with every punch. It’s completely naive to suggest it wouldn’t be an advantage. I notice you didn’t actually answer the question so I’ll try again - yes or no, would Joshua’s record be stronger if he’d fought and won away?
My view is a prime Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko would smash all this current crop to pieces and this is the standard I set for a World Heavyweight Champion. Regardless of who we think or support, it is a very poor era. They should get the top 6 together, face each other once over the next 2 years then we will see who tops the table.
No beating someone abroad doesn't have effect on a opponents qctual quality, only can influence officials and judges scoring. We havent seen that impact a result of an AJ fight yet.
