I didn't say "anyone", I said Usyk, who was 213 lbs before he even fought at cruiser. I don't know why he ducked the more lucrative and prestigious heavyweight division for as long as he did but that's what he did.

Was Usyk the champ when he fought Chisora? did he claim to be the best ever, or was he still moving up with his second fight in the division? Did anyone outside of the Fury brainmelts thought Usyk lost that fight, he clearly won 8 rounds. Fury got dropped and barely won any rounds clean against a gassed out debutant with 0 wins and a 0 %ko ratio.

No, it was contingent on Fury not taking a lot of damage, getting injured etc. He hasn't said "I won't fight Usyk", he's said "Uysk is next". If he retires then it's a different debate. Usyk also said "I'm not ready, I've got injuries" for December last year.

No, before Fury vs Nganou , Usyk said that he has minor injuries , but he will be ready and looking forward to fight on Dec 23.

Chisora hadn't not been a ranked contender for several years. Ngannou has been a professional boxer for under a week.

Also, nobody thought Chisora got robbed. Most feel Ngannou did.

It's been popular to dump on Fury ever since the Usyk fight didn't come off. Will AJ & WIlder ever fight? It's only been half a decade of talk/ BS. Will Ruiz or Wilder (they, too were going to meet) ever going to have a high profile fight? Many top HWs appear to be semi retired. Fury is hardly the only issue in the HW div. before or after the Ngannou fight.

 

Of course he can, Saturday wasn’t great no doubt about that, but to think a fighter as talented as Fury can’t/won’t bounce back is silly. He looked like **** and was damn near stopped by Wallin before going on his current run. It’s fighting, sometimes things happen. You survive and move on, it was a win/win for both guys to be honest.
