The way and speed that narratives seem to change, how long before we get people saying Usyk couldn’t have been that good since he only beat Fury by split decision?

You said his resume got destroyed. Only Usyk haters think Fury's resume got destroyed.

But as I said my opinion has remained consistent regarding Fury I've always claimed Fury is overrated and his resume is paper thin. I still think Fury stylistically is a tough challenge and I still consider him a good Heavyweight, hence I still think Usyk beating Fury who had considerable size advantage him is a good win.

I haven't changed my opinion on Fury before or after the Usyk fight so as I said my opinion is consistent, this thread was made in 2023 way before the Usyk fight which at the time had nothing to do with Usyk. As alot of fans at the time were not even sure they were going to fight with all the mental gymnastics Fury was doing.

Well we can't s..t all over Fury and then decide he is good after all, just because the forum golden boy had a tough outing against him

It's funny how the narrative has changed since Usyk beats him in a fight he struggled with for a few rounds

The same guys calling Fury overrated trash are now all of a sudden making him this unbeaten Titan that usyk had to conquer

This isn't aimed at you. I ask the forum which is it

Is Fury a great fighter after all and all your former bias because you hate him?

Or did usyk essentially scrape by, or at very least have a tough showing against a bum that Ngannou and wallin beat?

Can't have it both ways I'm afraid

My guy this thread was made in 2023 which had nothing to do with Usyk at the time so I'm not really sure what you're harping on about. All this thread proves is that my opinion on Fury has remained consistent before and after the fact.

I've still gave Usyk credit for the Fury win and rate him highly so how can that be a hater ? You've said this twice now even though I've gave Usyk credit, and repeatedly told you this thread was made in 2023 which had nothing to do with Usyk.

    Hence you're wrong.

A far more talented and skilled fighter struggled for a few rounds with a much, much physically bigger man who in reality is about 2-3 weight classes larger than him.

But the smaller man won clear and was robbed of a KO victory over the far bigger (but way less good) fighter.

Put simply Usyk struggled for a few rounds (only a few) due to the massive size discrepancy. Once Oleksander adjusted again he dominated the fight once again. I expect Usyk to whip Fury even more badly in the rematch.

Sorry buddy, but there seems to be a wagon on here that both proclaim Usyk as the best and Fury an overrated bum

I'm on the side of Fury being great, but Usyk greater

My posts are merely playing devil's advocate. You can't hail Usyks great win (which it was) and then call Fury a fraud

It doesn't work like that, but unfortunately many are doing exactly that.

My honest opinion of the matter,
Fury is the best Heavyweight since Wlad. Better than Aj, Wilder, Parker and the rest. Usyk beat Fury, not to mention the second best guy Aj x2 and that puts him top of the tree

How can someone receive credit for beating an opponent who's resumes has been destroyed?

He's not 2 or 3 weight classes heavier. He's just taller and fatter

You're not calling out anything because I have the same exact opinion in 2023 that I have in 2024.

Double standards would mean I'm changing my opinion based on before or after events and I'm doing neither I'm being totally consistent with my views.

    It's preposterous
I'm labelled an usyk hater, when I'm anything but

However, I do bring him down as Fury is rubbished left right and centre

My honest opinion Fury is a great heavy and Usyk is an ATG fighter
I can't stand Aj but I also think he's a great heavy himself

I didn't specify when he'd beat Usyk. He is beating Usyk in a war of the ages on December 21st. Both will retire hand in hand as the greatest warriors the sport has ever seen.

I think Fury was and always has been overrated and as i keep saying his resume isn't the strongest.

But as I keep saying and somehow a certain poster keeps missing the point, Usyk still beat a good Heavyweight who had considerable size advantage over him hence it's still a good win for Usyk.

Fury has shown too many vulnerabilities in his career and doesn't have the body of work in his resume to be considered a great in my view, but as I said I still consider him a good Heavyweight and with the context of the considerable size advantage Fury had it rates as a good win for Usyk no ifs or buts.

But apparently I'm a hater for having the same views in 2023 and in 2024 even though this thread I made here had nothing to do with Usyk.
