Seems to me every event FW hosts people are fighting in the crowd as undercard.

Even his weigh ins for big fights (usually Warrington fans) are creating chaos.

Now I know FW doesn't like paying fighters half the time, but surely he must get grip a bit in regards to security for his shows.

To be fair the security was alot better at this event than than last few FW shows i have been to. When it did kick off the security were over there pretty quickly. Usually he only pays for inner ring security and has stewards for the rest.

Very bad -- seems to happen at all events. What do they expect with starting at 3;30/4 and running until midnight at time with people there drinking? security never looks great either

It’s a bizarre one really. You can’t pin it on Frank. It’s not like he encourages it but it does happen at every single one of his shows. Just a weird coincidence.

Seems to happen at shows where boxers have either a football fan following or often when there's a traveller fighter on the bill, sadly. FW has had plenty of both in recent years

Cmon mate, we aren't talking about a couple of times here.

Every single one of his events this happens and does nothing about it.

The security is shite plus pissed up Yahoos and travellers scrapping.

I was at a warren show once and was sat in front of a squad of dick heads going mad. The security was someone’s nan in a high vis vest I kid you not.

Surely there should be a police presence when the events are this big and if there is a history of trouble ?

Someone is going to end up getting badly f'd up at one of Warren's shows.

Eddie get's a lot of flack , but he runs a tight ship security / crowd wise in comparison.

There's fighting on most boxing cards, been to plenty of different promotions and it happens, sadly. Too much coked up heroes

There are a multitude of factors involved, some of which will be down to Warren and some not.

I think when people talk about fans having football style followings that rather misses a point. Football matches in this country now are pretty safe, there really isn't that much hooliganism, and as long as you're not an idiot looking for bother you'll almost certainly be fine. I remember the atmosphere at the Froch Bute fight being a bit like a football match, with a separated group of away fans and chanting between them. But it wasn't violent.

This is always going to be a stark contract to some fights involving travellers, who are grossly over-represented in terms of convictions for violence and being imprisoned. I don't want to go down the sociology route here, but if you're promoting lots of travellers you would probably expect more bother than if you're really just trying to flog tickets to generic casuals.

The security though. That's something which can surely be addressed. You get what you pay for.

This has always happened at boxing shows. And all sorts of shows, sports or otherwise. It happens just about everywhere there's a crowd of people and energy is high.
It's not really anything to worry too much about until it resembles full time hooliganism or people are throwing dangerous things around, weapons are being brandished or women and children are being disrespected.

    This is real life.

I'd rather put up with a few scuffles and boisterousness than live in a pristine and clean 100% "safe" environment that would require some sort of fascist enforcement.

    It's a British tradition.
