BN said it may be on the big Dec 11 card.

I hope it is a free standing Saturday fight night show because it will be lost on the big Echo Arena schedule and this fight deserves more than that

Seems a bit of a strange 1 why would Frank bother? They are both maloney heavies and its hardly a massive fight

I was surprised by that. Is it more about taking the fight away from Maloney than about the fighters?

Not a massive fight but an interesting one in my opinion.

    Well, Larry's massive.

It's going to be on the Smith-DeGale undercard apparently.

I would favour Larry to take Mcdermott out early tbh dont think he has the heart for it anymore and a big crude puncher can blast him out just like Skelton did

I tentatively agree. Although we all know if it goes past 5 big Ol' Larry is totally ****ed.

Liverpool - the obvious place for a Southern Area fight:roll:

Most certainly i would go as far to say if it goes past 3 larry is in trouble because we know McDermott can do 12 but i dont think he survives the early barrage

its a good fight, i fancy john to win by stoppage if he keeps his chin down for the first five rounds.

Should be a good fight and an entertaing heavyweight tilt. Two big men and probablya stoppage. I hope big John trains hard and comes in the right frame of mind to really offer Larry a fight, it would be a waste if it was a simple walk through.

I think the plan for this show is to make it like the Magnificent Seven, compensate for the lack of a big Marquee name with several good domestic level fights, I'm guessing he can't make enough from his own stable so he's took this one which is a pretty good fight from another promoter to bolster the card.

But its a good fight so why moan.

When I pay to go and watch a card it wouldn't bothor me if there were no marquee names on it. As long as I get to see some well matched decent fights like this one is!!!
