Beats the hell out of Froch, Kessler, Groves, Stieglitz, and Dirrell. Ward would be my favorite, but he's never faced anybody with the power of G-Man. One punch or two could realistically end matters, so he'd have to be very cautious outside, in mid-range, and on the inside. On a side note, imagine the things G-Man would've done to a weight-drained Chad Dawson at 168 pounds. If he was reeling from Ward's punches, he'd be absolutely sparked by a concussive puncher (who greatly benefited from re-hydration) like the G-Man.
ward schools him and id favour kessler and froch over him. Dirrell could be too slick for him too but id favour gman in that.
I forgot that Ward is as skilled as Toney using the shoulder roll... I'm not saying McClellan absolutely beats Ward guaranteed but saying he will get schooled by Ward (like alot of people are saying) is a joke he got beaten by 2 slick fighters early on in his career and that was before Emanuel Steward came into the picture. When has Ward faced a guy with the size, speed, punching power and chin of McClellan, and people are saying he will get schooled just to follow like a herd of sheep one copying the other to sounds like they know something about boxing...
Ward didn't look terribly comfortable in the late rounds against Froch or against Bika, despite winning clearly. He's really not a masterful chess-match guy, a ridiculously durable, dangerous off the counter, and super elusive in-fighter like Toney, or an incredible pure-boxer like a Kalambay. I've always thought of him to be more of a spoiler-variety where he negates workrate and makes his opponents uncomfortable/unable to get into a rhythm with his plethora of looks, dirty tricks, and tactics. Much like Hopkins, although I don't think he's quite as good or sturdy as a 1997-2003 Bernard. G-Man went away from technical skills and cerebral set-ups to his power punches a lot and fell in love with his (ridiculous) power, but his pure ferocity, right hand bombs, left hook to the body, size/strength, and determination would make Ward very uncomfortable at times. The guy was just an animal and a warrior. He'd make you know you were in a fight. Ward goes into earmuff mode when pressing his way inside, too, which leaves him vulnerable to well-timed shots, so G-Man has some opportunities to do serious damage with uppercuts, straight rights, and well-placed body shots. It's a fight that would seriously test Ward. I wouldn't be surprised if he passed it in a tough one or got stopped. G-Man just had that great equalizer that could overcome technical disadvantages at just about any point in a fight. Dawson, Abraham, Froch, Kessler, and Bika are all good fighters, but none of them present the same element of danger at all.
McClellan would back Ward up and force him around the ring and not fight at Wards pace, McClellan would fight his fight and that's why i think he would most likely win, Ward can't out muscle out punch or make McClellan fight his fight and he can't knock McClellan out when Gerald is going out for the kill either which is why i think it turns out not so well for Ward.
Mcclellan best win is prbably J.Jackson... And Benn is his toughest opponent (a fight he lost). Ward outsmarts him in a ugly fight on the inside. Kessler and Froch have never been KOed and I dont think Anyone can be certain Mcclellan would put them down taking his opposition into account. I think Kessler would win on pts or a late KO. Froch would probably stop him late aswell.
Do people not realize he almost knocked Benn dead with a blood clot in his brain... If it wasn't for the ref he would of won that fight in round 1. And holy **** wow... So Julian Jackson the most generally regarded hardest P4P puncher in existence cannot take McClellan out and Benn couldn't even though he was landing cleanly on McClellan for what 8 rounds and the only reason McClellan went down on a knee was from a BLOOD CLOT in his brain ( i feel this is being skipped over by people...) and he could get up and walk to his corner fine no wobbling anything his chin was damn granite. McClellan could knock anybody out who he landed on... And Froch and Kessler are no defensive geniuses who can stay away from his power and speed for the distance
McClellan could knock anybody out who he landed on... And Froch and Kessler are no defensive geniuses who can stay away from his power and speed for the distance[/quote] But Froch and Kessler has great chins to. These fights could go both ways. G-man had almost no defence. Then you have to question what fight it would be after round 6? Endurance problems could be a problem for G-man Ward would maybe have more problems with this guy, then the other 2. Wards chin could get exposed here again. :bbb
Took what like 9 rounds for him to do so... And McClellan went down because of the clot not because he was actually hurt he walked of fine after that he wasn't knocked ''dead'' because of Benn it was the clot And McClellan knocked him down how many times with a blood clot... You getting my point now...
Okay but they don't have enough to take McClellan out do you think they could handle what McClellan could throw? I don't think it would go to the 6th with Froch and Kessler but say it did i don't think Gerald has stamina problems have you seen any from him? In the Benn fight he looked alright seeing that he couldnt breathe at all unless he spat his mouthpiece out
Ward could beat him and Dirrell could trouble him a little. He destroys the rest and has a legitimate chance at beating both Andres.
