Bekman winning each frame clearly but god he looks awful, per usual. Misses wildly and gets hit way too much and his technique is garbage. He's just able to use stiff-arms, clinches, and kidney/rabbit punches enough to keep Vargas discombobulated and then popping him with light jabs off the hip and flailing right hands while falling in as Vargas is ducking to avoid getting raked across the face with elbows. Vargas huffing and puffing dealing with all the negativity and trying just to get a few body shots in, very gun shy otherwise.

Vargas coming on with pressure! Soylybayev is no longer keeping him off with his poke jabs or lashing downward rights strapped across the nape of the neck from outside. Vargas just walking through and flicking his own jab into Soylybayev's face to gain entry and then wailing on the body. Good eighth, Vargas forced a lot of toe-to-toe but the work of both was sloppy. Both gassing.

Vargas looked slow and chunky in the face at this weight, and couldn't slip a punch to save his life tonight. This is a guy that made the 118lb limit to challenge Jamie McDonnell just last year. No credit for you, Soyly.
Btw, surprised nobody made a RBR thread for the "Real Deal Boxing" card in Atlanta on CBS Sports Net. Maybe nobody realized it was on tonight as well? Or even knew that Evander Holyfield is now a boxing promoter as of this year? Anyway, yeah, Tokha Khan Clary and Rayonta Whitfield are both signed to Evander and co-main evented tonight. The card was aired live on CBS SN (which I don't get in my cable package currently, used to get it at my old place) from 8:30pm EST until...well, now.
