[Well, u definitley need to check more of him out on youtube. He truly is an amazing talent. The rate they are moving him at his unbeiievable. He is fighting guys with over30 wins AND power and he hadn't even hat 10 fights yet.His oppostion cannot be critisixed by anyone. I was more impressed by him than "Andre Ward, who was both hurt badly and dropped all within 3-4 fights. I'm not usually big on all these touted prospects but he blew me away. Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin impressed me too.

Amster, if you havnt seen Austs top prospect Willie Kickett you should.

He is just starting out and his management are increasing the level of his competition at a good rate. He looks like a mini Mundine and fights alot smoother with greater punch variation. Def a kid to watch out for in the coming years.

Sounds promising, I've always contested that Mundine with a good chin would have been a top P4P level fighter, as it would have allowed him to use his gifts to the max.

Its really early in his career but this bloke looks really stylish in the ring. Johnny Lewis has stated that Kickett is the best aboriginal fighter since one of our greatest Lionel Rose which is a massive statement.

When there is better youtube vids up on him i will let you know.

At the minute, he's an outstanding prospect. Nothing more.

He is incredible, but lets keep in mind that hes in a stacked division, theres guys there that would MOST LIKELY take him twelve rounds, twelve rounds that he never experienced before. I ain't jumping on no super-hype train till I see what this guy is made off, theres guys that would surely test his chin, he better keep his hands up when he faces elite comp.

What are you going to tell us if he beats both Jiminez and Rojas by KO?

Im predicting a Gamboa win in both these fights.

It would surely be two good wins for him, two wins that puts him in title contention, but lets be fair to SFW, it's probably the hardest division to just steamroll through at this point in time.
If he knocks them both out, it would be impressive, actually, Jiminez is a hard cookie, same goes for Rojas.

Lets look at some of the good names in SFW:

    Manny Pacquaio
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Joan Guzman
    Edwin Valero

IF he cleans out this division, he's a damn good fighter, I want to see him face a real live body like Humberto Soto, which would make sure we know what he's made of. Nevertheless, I will say that Gamboa is the only Cuban since Gomez that I have seen in shape, serious and motivated (pre-heavyweight Gomez). His physical attributes are amazing, hes the total package, but we have all seen his flaws, the two top guys in this division would make sure hes holding his hands up, or hes getting knocked out.

There are many tough and good fights for him aside Soto as well:

    - Oscar larios
    - Jorge Solis
    - Fana
    - Tajbert (olympian and european champ)

All good names on his resume and winnable fights

Tajbert is not the European champ but holds a minor title going by the name of "EBU-EU Title"...a Belorussian is actually the European champ. Btw, Tajbert got injured in sparring and had to withdraw from his next fight in May. It looks like that this fight won't be rescheduled as Tajbert was named the mandatory to the Belorussian. The fight could be on as early as July.

its funny how people use soto a a measuring stick. but i do the same thing soto got a little bit of everything thats why he dosent stand out much. i pic gamboa to win against soto i think gamboa needs to fight a technician
