I'm very happy with his performace (minus d punch on d head), i knew Salido will b a tough customer, Gamboa was in alot of less trouble that I had anticipate, he won going away and put a real hurt in d last 3 rounds, those same rounds that everybody thought will beling to Salidos.

Can't tell if you're a realist or an apologist. Gamboa held severe avantages in youth, hand speed, natural athleticism, (non) ringwear, and alleged overall skillset. He did what he was supposed to do, probably quite a bit less than that.

Salido should have taken acting lessons from Dirrell. Double stand against Abraham!

You know what dude if you think Salido is trialhorse you dont know boxing!! Hes got a good list of victims on his resume, and he is a 2 time world champion. If you dont know who the guys are that hes beaten you better start doing your homework before you start spitting out your nonsense.

that determination is made by the ringside doctor. If the doctor diagnose that the fighter received a concussion from the late hit, he is unable to continue and the offending fighter will be disqualified. If the fighter is determined NOT to have a fight threatening concussion, the fighter down must continue.

I remember Joe Cortez was involved with a similar fight incident between Humberto Soto and Francisco Lorenzo for a title belt. Soto basically was buzzsawing thru Lorenzo, and knocked him down in an early midround i believe. IN the same round, Soto hunted him down to finish him and Lorenzo was trying to do a lousy impersonation of Sweet Pea, squatting and dipping up and down VERY LOW. Soto caught him in the corner and applied a meatgrinder attack and Lorenzo dipped down enuf to touch the canvas. Soto hit him, not realizing that Lorenzo was touching the canvas at this point. Lorenzo fell over bleeding from the intense prior flurries and basically Soto was DQ'd for a late hit because the doctor determined that Lorenzo was suffering a concussion from that hit? He was KD'd in that same damn round! Lorenzo was originally awarded the titlebelt but then stripped away hahahah. Soto was given another titleshot in his next fight and won the belt....

The "new" Gamboa was supposed prevent him from being dropped. I will give it to him though, when he's dropped he comes back & gets the W. He's less exciting, but may be better for him in the long run. If he fights w/ his hands down & comes in wide open like that against Juan Ma, he's gonna get hurt.

ummm, because he didnt get dropped by a punch. If you got the fight on a DVR, replay it a couple times, watch his foot positioning, watch the time of the punch, and then the slip forward. He caught his balance by dropping down his right hand to the canvas after slipping. Cortez had to call it a KD because that happened a second after a punch... His feet happened to be on the big red letters TECATE... same thing happened to Salido

there were many "falls" due to the promotional prints, both on Gamboa and Salido. Unfortunately, the ref called a few of them as KD's. He doesnt have the benefit of replays, but we do. The only legit KD was towards the end of the 12th round by Gamboa, when he caught Salido on the ropes and poured a ridiculous combo on him and Salido got overwelmed and fell to the side, and Gamboa bopped him on the head for "good measure", doomass. He got lucky....
