Yes i blame the miserable old twat , Juanma is being made out to be this and that , appearing on the front cover of the Ring , being hailed as this and that and he werent even the best fighter in his weight class !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Juanma Caballero in a lot of boxing fan's eyes is serious unfinished business , infact to the point imo that i cant take to Juanma unless he fights the guy its a ****in joke .

Now on this mega fight that Arum is planning , i actually beleive Gamboa vs John is a better fight , Gamboa is gonna flatten Juanma , early too , its not even a contest Gamboa is too fast and strong for Juanma , i think Juanma against Izzy Vasquez would of made for a great fight or Marquez but hell no you can bet Arum will have him fight another Top Rank fighter like Conception or somebody , Bob Arum says this will be the biggest FW title fight ever .............................. well ill tell ya im not as half as interested in this fight as i was Hamed Barrera !!!! :deal

i have talked to caballero many times about this (as some of you know we are friends). its not fair to say he is not interested. he is interested in gamboa, but he just thinks its all talk on their part. they really have no plans on fighting him. and he doesnt think they ever will. so at this point he is not concerning himself with the thought. the stuff w/ juanma is definitely a lot more personal. i still cant exactly tell why. his english sucks and my spanish sucks, so maybe it gets lost in translation.

btw, i think some of you guys are in for a big surprise when you see him fight next time. jeff mayweather has done wonders for caballero. i think you will see a better caballero than ever before.

edit- i will get confirmation from celestino tomorrow on this. i havent followed anything boxing related for a few days

Caballero's next match is for the interim WBA Featherweight title right?

They would have to fight eventually.

There are rumors that Gamboa will vacate and fight fellow Top Rank boxer Cristobal Cruz for the IBF Featherweight title so he won't have to deal with the mandatory and still have a title to unify with JuanMa, but I think thats just a rumor.

Well at least Juanma is fighting far better oposition than Gamboa, and is schedule to fight Concepcion that is good, not great but is better than anyone that Gamboa had fought.

but if you go by people on this forum you'll think gamboa and caballero are fighting world class fighterw while juanma is fighting bums.. but if you look at their opponents juanma has fought a lot better opposition than both gamboa and caballero

Typical Top Rank BS. How long will it take you guys to see? Arum is killing boxing!

He did the same crap to FMJ with Margarito and Cotto. You can have 8 million to fight Margarito, but 7 to fight Cotto. Huh? Cotto was the money generator!

    Arum is a clown!

Arum is protecting Juanma and keeping him far away from Caballero.

And I think its because Caballero would pummel Juanma like he did Steve Molitor.

If you look closely at Gamboa's young record, he has only fought " opponents with winning records " right from the start, do some research on Gamboa's first 18 fights and compare it with Lopez' first 18 fights, then compare...Gamboa has fought much better opposition ( in 18 fights )...

But of course, after Lopez' 18th fight he stepped it up and has fought bigger names but that does'nt count as Gamboa has only 18 pro fights! Understand now?

Caballero is not interested in Gamboa because #1 " too much risk " and #2 " too little compensation ", while fighting Lopez is better for him monetarily...

That's very easy to comprehend, if you are in a real danger of losing might as well fight the fighter with the most fame and more monetarily compensation, and that undoubtly is Lopez right now. But with time, Gamboa will surpass Lopez' fame and reputation...

    No doubt about that! :good
