Gamboa Vs Linares

great fight...i like gamboa to beat everyone

 

Gamboa has to goe up if he wants the fight to happen.

 

his record is poor you kept mentioning Diaz as a good win and his second best win,thats the same Diaz who put on a ridiculous performance against Soto.
that says all you need to know about his record when his second best win is that guy.

and the comparison with Duran is just stupid its two completely diferent eras compare is first six years as a pro with current fighters like Cotto,DLH,Mayweather etc.

or even Gamboa who hasnt fought anyone with a losing record while Linares was still fighting guys with losing records in his third year as a pro.

there are alot of good to great fighters who took a long time to really step up their competition and Linares is only 23.

I'm not saying Linares has proved as much as these fighters but what i'm saying is give him time and enjoy watching him fight. I see no point in wanting him to lose just because he hasn't stepped up his competition to the elite level yet. Too many fighters step up in class too quickly and pay for it dearly.

And btw I know you voted once that his record is worse than Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Edwin Valero so whats up with that?
