he ko khan who lost to peterson he beat zab who but mattyshe, he beat holt who ko diaz in 2 rounds when khan barely won and got beat up. Hes the unfied champ at the most stacked division in boxing, yet he been criticised He's very UNDERRATED.
I think he's more overrated by the boxing media than he is by this forum. If anything, he' had a bit of a lame duck feeling around him, since many have said they favor Khan over him in a rematch, and most thnk he would get stoppe by Lucas.
I like Garcia I think he's exactly where he is, not overrated and not underrated, he's the number 1 fighter in his division and that's where he deserves to be. Great win over Khan, good win over Judah and I think he beats Matthysse and Peterson.
Peterson has been inactive for a year before that fight a couple months ago, got stripped of his title, had a controversial win over Khan who Garcia KO'd, and before that got whipped by Victor Ortiz but got a draw.
You seriously need to re-evaluate things. Matthysse went life and death with Zab. Peterson went through hell against Khan. Maidana, at the time, was considered a top fighter at 140 and barely got past a shot Morales. What does Danny do? He beats Zab convincingly and knocks out Morales and Khan. Is this the greatest accomplishment I've ever seen? NO, but every other guy at 140 haven't done much better than Garcia. Matthysse's best win is probably Olugesun who is tough as nails but nothing special. Peterson is good but definitely not light yrs ahead of Garcia. Garcia is not overrated at all. He's not the greatest athlete on the planet and is limited in certain areas but he makes up for it with his intelligence, timing, power, chin, and heart. If it's anyone who's overrated it should probably be Peterson as his past accomplishments should be in question after testing positive for PEDs. The KO over Holt was nice. Not great. But still nice.
He will lose his next fight. He's been exposed . He cant handle feints, and head movement. Because he tries to counter everthing with hard shots. Morales proved this. And judah figured it out to late. You can stand right in front of Danny all night. feint, throw a straight., and duck under the hook. It will work ever time. The only time Zab got hit was when he pulled back with his hands. He's a dumb dude. But, yeah. Garcia better hope Matthysse wins. Cause Perterson would walk him down all night.
No, but he's clearly in the conversation. Matthysse, Peterson, and Garcia are the contenders right now, with Khan sitting out. Garcia beat Khan clearer than Peterson did, inflicting more damage and taking less in the first half of the fight. Clearly Peterson's best win and Garcia outshone him in it. Garcia also beat a fresher Holt than Peterson did. So tell me what's the huge gap separating the two?
Garcia's the truth and solid in all areas with things you can't teach like ability to adapt mid round, composure under pressure, timing and iron chin. He'll be a champ for a long time and either the top guy or a top 3 guy for a long time, he's hella young and already that calm and composed. He doesn't have any flashyness but dont let hat fool you, the complete package is a problem for anyone at 140 right now.
Dude you can't play that way, I could say Khan is better because he won more convincingly over Judah :hey:hey, Lets Just wait and see but I am telling you Peterson is the real deal here.
