This is spreading fast and even Zab has commented on it saying it has reach his camp. I hope it is not true unless if Danny is going through personal issues or even an injury.
There's a lot involved here -- a network TV date, an arena booked in New York, a promoter out of pocket, a commission and, most of all, contracts. "Personal issues" aren't going to cut it unless he's going into rehab. Pulling out to take another fight doesn't cut it unless the promoter agrees not to enforce the contract AND pay Judah full value of the contract. Garcia pulling out would mean finding an opponent both acceptable to Judah AND Showtime on too-short notice, I would think. An injury would need to be documented by doctors acceptable to the commission -- which would probably want X-rays or MRI and other test results forwarded to their doctors for verification. But just pulling out without an injury, I don't see it unless GBP is willing to absorb some major $$$$ losses on this one in expectation that it can make it back later. The NYSAC could very well suspend Garcia if it's a case of "well, he wasn't really training as well as we'd like" situation. All of this is speculation, of course, until there is some verification.
I'm looking at Garcia record ,does he even know how to fight a southpaw especially someone with speed and power. They could be looking at the Tszyu fight and basing everything on that one fight. If this fight happen Danny may have problems.
