It's almost 1 and a half years and people still can't accept the fact that Garcia kicked his ass and made him look very very ordinary. Matthysse doesn't want any part of Garcia. Garcia cracked the **** out of that fragile mandible. Garcia could have knocked him out but I think he took his foot off the breaks. He put Matthysse down for the first time in his career and after that fight, Matthysse got put down twice more by Johnathan Molina. Garcia cracked it, horribly. Matthysse's career is coming to an abrupt end soon. If he fights Garcia again, Garcia literally puts on a stretcher. Matthysse leaves the ring horizontally.
Danny pulled a heck of an upset but lets not forget how close the fight was. And Matthysse had to deal with that eye for half the fight. Man, Danny had so much momentum after that and he blew it all. :-(
Garcia deserves a ton of credit for this fight. His best win to date IMO. His following two fights have apparently destroyed his whole career to some people. It's stupid.
