    I've been told from a reliable source that Cornish was out on the sauce last Friday. Any chat of him "coming to win" or "give it a go" is surely redundant now.

    AJ KO 1.

    Even if Cornish "came to win" in his heart he truly believed he was going to win, he worked his *******s off every day and was in the greatest place ever in his mind, he would still get blasted out under the simple basis that he's simply not very good

    The fact that he insists on remaining at home in Inverness usually, rather than going to an established gym in England or the USA or Germany to train says a lot. He needs to be surrounded by good heavyweights and to be sparring quality opponents. He has trouble getting sparring partners in the Highlands. He wants a couple of big paydays and then will call time on it. Nothing wrong with that, but it wouldn't surprise me to hear he was out boozing before the AJ fight.

    Dillian Whyte said Cornish chose not to face him as the AJ fight would get Cornish almost £100,000, and he would get much much less than that for the DW fight. Cornish knows he is going to lose both those fights, so he took the big money.

    I'd be surprised if AJ vs Cornish went more than 4 rounds.

    I think GC's lack of amateur background means he would need to be working in the gym constantly with good heavyweights. Going and sparring in camp for a week now and again might not cut it for him.

    £260k :lol::lol:

    £260 is the usual fee for a stiff and £2,600 more likely than £260k :lol::lol:

    In fairness Dillian Whyte mentioned Cornish turned down a fight with him as he was going to get "100 grand" against AJ, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was a 6 figure sum Cornish was getting. If the fight had went to purse bids (as its for the vacant commonwealth belt) , it could've cost Eddie Hearn a lot more as he would have to bid high to make sure AJ was on Sky Sports, and the split would be even between AJ and GC.

    I don't understand why this isn't for the vacant British title too though...it's vacant now, why wait to December to fight for it?? :-(
