Gary Mason died as a result of a bicylce accident invloving a van. He was 48 yrs old and he only lost one fight and that was to lennox Lewis.....he fought at around 245 to 250 pounds and had to retire due to eye injury. We all should wish him well, he was part of the boxing community...........

Yep RIP indeed. Him and Razor Ruddock were the only betting favorites that Lewis fought in his pro career. Might watch that fight actually never seen it

Wish him well? Perhaps a touch late but I will certainly remember Gary Mason with respect for his achievements in the ring. Always in shape and always came to fight. Losing to Lewis is no shame but losing your life in such a meaningless and potentially avoidable way is just tragic. I hope the van driver gets what he deserves.

    RIP Gary Mason.
