I was the biggest Gary Russell Jr supporter. But his 'one fight a year' crap is a major turnoff. Will be rooting for Warrington.
Russell wins the early rounds round then fades a bit from nine on. Russell wins a 8-4 or 7-5 decision with a scare or two in the championship rounds
Warrington like he was all wrong for Selby and Frampton, is all wrong for Russell as well. Here's the reality.... Warrington's style is all wrong for everyone.
Gary probably SHOULD be better, but he isn't. Warrington takes it to the trenches to win a UD without noticeably hurting Russell.
I always bet against Warrington and he always makes me look a dick... So I'm gonna say he gets this on points lol
Lets face it. Gary Russell Jr is never going to face ANY credible opponent. His days of taking on a challenge ended with Loma. Now talk about, yes he will talk about every one up to and including heavyweight as he has absolutely NO intention of fighting another credible opponent.
Loma was to good for him blatantly, i think if hes fit and switched on he'll be to sharp for Warrington. Rooting for Josh though
Look at it this way, King Tug and Jojo Diaz both came within a round or two of beating GRJ, in their first big step up to true World level. Warrington is about 7 fights removed from his first big step up, and 3 of his last 4 wins was top notch World level.
An argument could be made that Kid Galahad's style is all wrong for everyone too, and since neither of them legitimately won or lost that. They nullified each other's awkwardness.
