Maidana getting some good bouts. Guerrero is going to be unleashing some great combinations on Maidana.
And he deserves them. We get a great fight, guaranteed. This would be quite the splash for Guerrero if he could pull out a W here. Honestly, these are the fights that keep me interested in the sport.
Interesting...:think Stylistically this is going to favor Robert but Maidana's a fu*ckin bull! He can take away distance and beat you up on the inside if you don't use that stick on the regular.. Robert's got a good jab with nice movement but I actually think at some point this fight looks like Cotto vs marg all over again. Very good fight.
Excellent fight. If Guerrero pulled this one off, he'd be right in line for some really big fights between 135-147. Whoever wins though, we're pretty-much guaranteed a good fight and that's all I care about.
That's what it looks like on paper....but I do foresee Maidana testing Robert's "will" and "heart" in a fight he'll probably win most of the early rounds in. When and if Maidana takes away control of distance then Rob's got problems..
I really like Guerrero and his story is awesome, but this is a tough fight for him, I will be pulling for Robert but I don't know yet who I would bet on.
Another great match up... Guererro has the perfect style to match with Maidana. This is gonna be good. So I'm guessing Guererro is moving to 140 ?
Robert won't be able to take Maidana's power shots. Fighting a strong LWW who is in his prime and fights the way he does will give Robert some pause. Maidana WILL land his power shots--and I don't think Robert will be able to take them.
That's anther point..... Roberts moving up... Which he needs to since he's out growing his current division, but taking on someone like Maidana in your first couple of fights is brave to say the least. Rob won't be completely comfortable or acclimated to the weight right out the gate.
