****ing hell. What alot of you do not realise, is that it costs $$$$$ to make fights happen. All the "experts" and learned fans are entitled to their opinion on who should fight whom, but you do not have a clue as to what goes into making it happen. Those who promote, match, and ultimately pay the bills know how this **** really works.
Its fine for you all to say "Geale should fight Soliman", without knowing that it has been discussed amongst the camps before. There is absolutley no reason for this fight to happen, unless the Grange camp makes concession for Soliman and decides to cut him a break. Why would they offer Soliman a fight over Sturm or the like????????

A Soliman fight would generate **** all revenue, be a step down for Geale, and means **** to Geales career direction.

Sam and his camp are desperate for a fight like this, because Sam only has a couple of fights left in him, he needs a pay day, and he has everything to gain win or lose. And as ive said before, Soliman has nothing to bring to the table, financially, rating wise etc etc. Geale has the IBF title for **** sake, Soliman is rated lower than him. If he fights and gains the mandatory, then they have to fight dont they???

So before you say 'this one needs to fight that one", remember that unfortunately, this is the business of boxing. Unless you are a mandatory, have a major **** off sponsor thats throwing in the big bucks, or can do it yourself, stop bitching and fight your way to a shot.

 

well if Geale could sell more PPV as the title holder then the fight would generate more cash.

Soliman earned almost 3/4 of a million dollars fighting Mundine 3 times. He must have some hefty bills to pay or blew all the money, cant understand why he is still having a crack, couldnt make it in kickboxing so he turned to boxing and is even worse than he was as a kickboxer.

He dont deserve no shot at Geale, he cant ride Mundines tail anymore so he has decided to ride someone elses. Hope this fight NEVER happens. As already mention, if he is so sht hot he can go to the states and fight someone, fact is he has had more than ample oppertunities and blew them all just like his cash.

 

If he becomes the No.1 contender and the ibf orders it, then it has to happen. Sam can count his blessings if it does. Ageing fighter, with the lights dimming. Messy but convincing win for Geale
