Mundine challenged Sven Ottke for the IBF supermid title, yeah.

That was then. This is now. He made it quite clear, when he ditched IBO, his allegiance is with WBA.

Cheers mate - when I read it a second time I grasped it better.

You're correct, this is now, Mundine hasn't many avenues to take, loyalty in boxing(?), yeah.

No worries CHB. My out of whack typing in the first place!

Actually to add to my comments, add Felix Sturm into the category of fighters Geale could earn over a million to face as an IBF champ.

As a unification it would be huge, especialy over there in Germany and take it as fact Sturm approached Grange before the Geale / Sylvester deal was finalised recently.

    Interesting about Sturm.

One of the newspapers was trying to link Sturm's name with Garth Wood - perhaps they got the story slightly twisted?

Would much rather Geale looked forward to something meaningful, like Sturm and a unification, than backwards to something purely for the money.

If Geale wins convincingly then no doubt his stocks will rise in that neck of the woods.

I still think a Mundine rematch is huge reward low risk back here as a first defence option before unifying the belts against Sturm or possible big fight with AA.

I'm sure Geale would get $1,000,000 to fight AA....maybe more....however one of my points was " fights that Geale could win and get a mill"

IMO Geale beats Mundine....but AA is a much harder fight for Geale

Did you watch the boxing masterclass Carl Froch gave AA when they met in the Super 6 tournament?

Carl Froch is a fine fighter, very tough to the end, but that night he totally spanked AA in a boxing lesson.

Geale is a much better 'boxer' than Froch. I'm not saying Geale beats Froch as Froch is a big SMW. What I am saying though is that both as boxers, it's light and day with Geale's skills far superior.

Geale beats AA in a masterclass.

Yes I did see that fight....however I don't think Geale will take apart AA as easy as you say...just my opinion and I would LOVE to be wrong :good

No nothing about it but maybe they approached and said if garth beats choc a second time then they might be interested and when he got beat they dropped off,

Froch - gave AA a masterclass.

Direll - was doing the same until AA DQ'd in the 11th with the blow whilst on the deck.

Geale would do the same and as much as this will surprise you with me saying it, Mandy would have done the same in his prime. (Like Star Wars - a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...)

AA would not have handled Mandy's speed or movement and would have out boxed him.

Well I'm in Las Vegas for a fight on the 13th so I may try to head to CAL for the Ward V AA fight next day and see AA in his biggest fight for myself.....I think Ward will dispatch AA in a WIDE UD fight but Ward is WAY ahead of Geale

I'm not even talking about Andre Ward vs Geale in comparison of skills so what's that got to do with the price of tea in China?

Andre Ward is an exceptional boxer and will beat AA convincingly.

AA is tested on the world stage and Geale is not.....thats why the price of tea in china is never the same in Australia....lets see if Geale gets through Sylvester before he steps up against AA....or are you saying Karmazin and Sylvester are on AA's level?
