Nice Interview. Tunney lived a good post retirement life until his daughter went crazy.

    Hi Rocky.
Have to say in 55 years of reading all I can about boxing, I have not seen anything that implied or states that Tunney was a alcoholic, let alone a terrible one, just shows how there's always some things we don't know, will take it forward.
    stay safe buddy, chat soon.
    Mike.

He actually spent some of his retirement lounging in Puerto Rico, had a musical act called 'Bad Tunney.' A lot of people don't know that. I don't even know that, now that you mention it.

I think his alcohol issues stemmed from the daughter's downfall, he couldn't handle that but before that, he had no alcohol issues.

He was an alcoholic long before the issue with his daughter. He famously used to show up for board meetings plastered.
