How would a fight between these 2 go and who do you rate higher???

 

In the ESB bylaws it clearly states that Floyd Patterson is not allowed to win a single hypothetical match up. Ever.

Patterson in a close win. Both slick, but Patterson is just blacker.

 

UH-OH....I think you might just be in more trouble than I am now. I have been informed that picking Floyd over another HW is grounds for a month long ban!

 

i like patterson. might not have better lateral movement but can cut a ring down quick and tunneys power even though solid i dont think is enough to take patterson out. might drop him but tunneys style doesnt really allow himself to drop the harder shots continously.

very winnable fight for patterson at the levels in mythical match ups he never comes out well

I like Tunney but it is an interesting fight ..

 

I'd favour Patterson, I don't think Gene would get away with that low defence against a guy with Floyd's speed.

 

I love Floyd Patterson but Tunney wins this one by a decision.

 

Intriguing match up in all seriousness. Patterson is faster and probably hits harder and is a good combination puncher. Tunney the better pure boxer although when I try to pin down what precisely I mean by that I cannot define it. And for once Floyd won't be the smaller heavyweight. Hmm...
