Time damages the life of humans in every-front, brain damage is just one tiny dimension. Most boxers suffer once they leave boxing, mainly because they come from the fearless-dominance minority & they are forced to co-exist with the normal population, or even worse get in conflicts with criminals who will make shooting a boxer a priority (as boxers are over-represented in being victims of Gun-Violence by both Criminals & Law-Enforcement), boxers are also over-represented in Motor-Cycle accidents, Auto-mobile accidents & have no chance in any domestic violence dispute. Society in 2020 is unfriendly to boxers, even boxing fans are quick to judge boxers...let alone normal-peasants who despise strong-male figures.

The healthiest prospect for a boxer is to continue boxing for the rest of their lives. Advances in modern medicine will allow this, lots of padded prospects & MMA guys to expose...it worth sticking around, especially if its an Elite boxer of GGG level

Horrendous bout. What does GGG expect boxing fans to say when he picks an opponent like this, with such little time left in his career, after all the (rightful) complaining for years about ducking, when he could now get any top (or even solid 'very good') opponents for his legacy? I was a fan, but I'm starting to go off him now.

It'll be good to see 3G back in the ring but FFS pick a name that will enhance your legacy Gennady.

Good undefeated opponent (his IBF mandatory), GGG has lots of fights to pick from
    • Patrick Wojcicki (Popular fight in Germany) --- [IBF title defense]
    • Esquiva Flacao (GOAT Brazilian Middleweight) --- [IBF title defense]
    • Edgar Berlanga (First Round KO Streak) --- [Edgar, WBO champ by then]
    • Saul Alvarez (third fight, because why not?)
At this point GGG has to win a big fight as an Underdog, this will help his ATG resume & current popularity.

It's a good stay busy fight against a top #10 undefeated middleweight in the world.

I personally would of loved to see GGG destroy
Jaime Munguia and be crowed the mexicutioner. But maybe there is a chance for that fight in the future?

GGG has nothing left to prove after beating Canelo the first fight. It’s time he retires.

Unless he has financial issues, there’s no need to risk his health at this point.

I think risking health with on of the best chins ever and best KO ratio of all middleweights at 83.3% is not something GGG king worries about son.

Who are you to call me son?

GGG lost his last fight. He needs to walk away before things get worse.

Wow simmer down there treacle . No offence meant by it, just trying to educate you because clearly you are lacking on the old baàaxing knowledge.

You think that GGG health is on the line here because he had a hard fight, which he won, Vs dervienchko.? A man who has never been down and has a ko ration of 83%.

He also has a contract, son, with dazn. A legally binding contract until 2021 with 3 more fights left after this one. Now don't be upset if he whooped some more Ukrainian ass along the way to that goal.

Except you missed the part about him losing to SD. Badly. An Ukrainian. Obviously he has contract obligations but as a big fan of his, I wish he would just retire. I can see Canelo knocking out GGG if it happens again and I don’t want things to go down like that. He’s looked a shell of himself ever since teaming up with Banks.
