    Shh, tryna get my boy paaaaaaid. If we can get everyone to accept this for Golovkin's next fight it means O'Sullivan gets a payday exponentially larger than anything he's ever likely to without these exact circumstances falling into his lap. I give him next to no chance, but Spike does want this fight, has been calling for it forever, and believes in his chance to win it, which tells me he's going to give his all to make it entertaining for the fans. I don't really care about GGG or whether he "wastes" any of his now finite supply of remaining dates in the ring as he winds down his career. If one is "wasted" on getting a friend of mine catapulted through a bizarre string of events into a massive payday, then great. If the sacrifice to boost Spike's profile is to force Golovkin's stock & standing with the fans to dip, so be it. Fuck Golovkin, he isn't a personal friend of mine. Spike is.

    Ridiculous post. For starters, 3g's opponent has not been named. And keep in mind here, he's the one who got effed over.

    "Charlo would gladly take it.." really? He (They?) sure haven't tossed their hat in the ring now have they? And Danny would take it too? Convenient that he has a fight a week before already.

    The main credible threat got busted FFS. He doesn't want a credible threat, but the credible threat he WAS to fight messed up...and now somehow it's back to 3G not wanting a threat. Good grief that's bassackwards thinking.

    Every fighter fights for money FFS. When you guys say that silly line, it only shows how easily you are swayed by posters you probably don't ever respect, but have no qualms repeating their words.

    I'm teasing, IsaL.

    Although he does have a decent legacy to be honest. He had a long KO streak against plenty of decent fighters (not greats; some solid some not so). To suddenly come out with the whole 'only fought cans' stuff is very 2012 and makes you appear a little bitter.

    I know you don't, but most consider the Canelo fight a W at the tail end of his career, which is very good too. I mean, if he can only beat cans then you have to wonder why Canelo felt the need to cheat. But such is life, I suppose.

    You don't think that was due to the higher level of opposition in
    Canelo and Daniel?

    The fights I've seen of Spike, he is not that level. I think
    he makes Golovkin work for it, but I still see even a
    diminished Golovkin as a nightmare for damn near everyone
    that isn't an elite talent.
