Hmmm.... It has been written and talked about that Foreman during training use to use 100lb bar bells in each hand a punch with them for awhile. If that's the case I see why his power was unbelievable.

    If that's true, its crazy.

  3. Remember that this was a guy who lifted a 500 pound cow on his shoulders and used to pull jeeps around at age 45. The biggest heavy bag only lasted a week with Foreman power. Not only one of the strongest hitters but maybe even the psychically strongest ever.

Wow. That makes sense Foreman was a freak of nature with
a drive that not many possess. That is crazy though. Ill be
trying that routine. With 20 lb weights HaHa. Ahh Foreman
I remember being a kid watching Foreman vs Moorer and
thinking that the ko punches didnt look that hard, boy
was I wrong. I know he also chopped wood, and yeah
pulling jeeps is insane too especially at 45. Big George is
one in a million for sho

Barbells or dumbbells? The latter seems more plausible, because the thought of a man picking up 100 pound barbells in each hand and throwing punches is a little ridiculous.

It's utter bull**** and it wouldn't help develop punching power, the barbell/dumbell would be pulling downwards while a punching is trying to develop the punch to go forwards (not up unless it's an uppercut)

BTW this is what a 100lb dumbell looks like, and supposedly throwing it around, ok

I heard Foreman used to climb mountains freehand with an anvil tied around his waist, to build forearm strength.

My trainer made me use weights for punching, albeit those weiner sized weights not much bigger than those aerobics chicks use. 100 lbs, albeit massive, still apply the same principles.

Maybe he lay on his back and punched upwards.

Anyway, he was a big strong man in his prime, I wouldn't discount it.

Even though he was managed carefully in His comeback, the only 2 guys who even came close to out muscling Foreman was Ali using the ropes as a brace, but as for centre of the ring George Chuvalo.

Iv'e seen Foreman pick up a tank and throw it 50 miles down the road, all in the name of Christianity.

I've also seen Foreman run straight through brick walls while out jogging.

I have heard the one about brick walls, that was an early morning run and he had injured his eye in training the day before, he didn't see it, apparently it caused a lot of trouble with the local council.

    Thank you.

It would do nothing to help punching power and everything to induce shoulder and elbow injury.

Only dolts would buy this yarn.
