Probably not. Would have been a pleasant pay check though.

George is a great businessman. He saw what Floyd did with Conor and a guy who couldn't even box and wants some money. I think real boxing fans have to insist these jokes do not happen.

That would have been CGI. The only speed Seagal has is when he's running to the front of the buffet line.

Steven Seagal, American action movie actor, Buddhist, producer, writer, martial artist, virtuoso guitarist and blues man, and deputy sheriff was recognized in February of 1997 as a reincarnation (tulku) of the treasure revealer Chungdrag Dorje by his teacher Penor Rinpoche.

He didn't exactly put that record together in K1 or Glory, though, did he?

Those were semi-professional kickboxing matches versus a dubious level of competition (how many internationally well-known big names again?) in an era and in a part of the world in which you could easily hobble together a flim-flammy record to help bolster your "martial artist" credentials in Hollywood...of which like a third are clearly stated as being not even full real "kickboxing" in anything like the modern codified sense of it but rather points karate matches.

IB, he wasn't just a straight up actor though was he, which is what you stated. You don't have to be a K1 fighter or pride, glory ,ufc to be classed as a martial artist. Its quite obvious he had skills in his films. Your down playing his martial arts career to suit your argument. IT EXISTED, no matter what level he was at !

No he did have some kickboxing/full contact matches. He obviously fought in an era that predated the k-1 era as well - kickboxing lacked the backbone/infrastructure. He did beat some legit and known guys such as Sherman Bergman(known in the boxing world for his use as a sparring partner by many well known fighters) and Michael J. Heming. Obviously Benny the Jet, Don Wilson and a couple of other early kickboxers who made their careers around the same time were vastly superior - but I wouldn't consider him a joke... He was viewed as a talent in that period and many tipped him to do more. But obviously he went into bodybuilding and then acting which were much more rewarding than kickboxing(hell, it's still the most obscure and most unappreciated combat sport!)
