Foreman was a sucker for a straight right, Louis would have him out in the first half of this fight. Louis KO rd 5-6....It's just the styles, Big George was awesome....

Louis can't take Schmeling's shots, George beats the holy dog**** out of him quicktime. George is no bum of the month.

Foreman was clearly outboxed against Tommy Morrison & Axel Schultz.

Foreman by KO in the sixth. Great battle, but Foreman's power and relentlessness would
Be too much. Foreman's right hand would finish it, Foreman had an out left hook too.

Well re Baer, I have often felt that his lethal (literally) right hand may have been the most powerful punch before Foreman (or maybe Liston).

Now re Carnera, I thought the consensus is that he was not that good a fighter and many of his W's were against little "bums. "

Schmelling had 10 L's and again he was one of "many" who dropped Louis. So you may be proving my point? Foreman likely would have dropped Louis, and likely he wouldn't have gotten up.

The only way to beat prime Foreman was with incredible skills and reflexes and smarts: Ali.

Well I thought we are into prime Foreman?

But doing what he did at that age was incredible and adds to his rep.

Foreman drops Louis, but Louis is too skilled and beats him either later KO or UD.

But that's funny as Hell--your sig.
    Best pizza in Hamburg.

Of course I've been to Germany, and there is no good pizza there (nor in the UK for that matter). But i get the point!

While I don't think its beyond the realms of impossible for Foreman to beat Louis I just cannot see it going much more differently than the Max Baer fight. Foreman is going to be hell for any heavyweight even if there are one or two I favour over him. I just think Louis has perhaps the best tools to get the job done.

Younger Foreman would have caved in Morrison and Schultz's skulls.

This is a dangerous fight for Louis. If he gets out of the early rounds (no sure thing with Foreman's size, strength, and massive power), I think he stops Foreman a little past the half-way mark. That might be what I'd put my money on if forced to make a pick.
