Better than Frazier who went the distance with Ali?
Trying to Counter punch Foreman is probably not a great idea…

I didn't watch Frazier enough to tell if he had a better chin than Tyson. But what I know is that Tyson tanked full power shots from Ruddock, Bruno and Smith without going down.
Foreman did not have the mobility and the technical soundness of Douglas or Holyfield to land often and hard.

I don't think it's a great idea to engage Tyson too, as his power, speed, skills and elusiveness could be a problem for anybody.

Foreman hits MUCH harder then all those gentleman.
It may be hard to recognize at first, but Foreman is genuinely one of the most technically sound boxers ever and for a slugger he had an extreme tactical mind. He has insanely good footwork and knows perfectly how to take advantage of his superior physical position.

I don't think he hit much harder than them. They are all among the hardest punchers ever, no way Foreman is leagues above them.

I agree that Foreman technical abilities can be underrated (especially the 90's version), but he lacked many elements in his style that are required to beat Tyson : good footspeed and nimble footwork, ability to react quickly and counter, using feints and lateral movement.
Foreman had the jab (but not fast enough) and the strength to tie up Tyson, but that doesn't mean he would be able to land often.

    You’re having a laugh mate.

Young Foreman sends Tyson out on a gurney. I don’t need to elaborate on that. Several esteemed posters have said all that needs to be said.

No I'm very serious. You can't outpunch Mike Tyson.
Those who think it would be like Foreman/Frazier are (with all due respect) wrong. Tyson was faster than Frazier (whether on footspeed or handspeed), hit harder and had less predictable head movement. His chin was excellent and he was never stopped on single shots. It always took a sustained beating to stop him. I don't see Foreman having the tools (barring the power of course) to make that kind of fight.

Young Foreman shoves, clobbers, uppercuts, and bludgeons 80's Tyson to death in an ugly slug-fest. Tyson is unable to get his momentum going as he's constantly pushed back and framed whenever he tries to get close and unleash his fast combos. Foreman KO round 3-4.

80's Tyson beats post Zaire Foreman. Tyson was the more complete and confident boxer with better overall ability: speed, timing, stamina, defense, etc. Tyson KO round 6-7.

Post Prison Tyson vs Post Zaire Foreman is an very ugly brawl that could go either way. Probably tons of fouls, hitting after the break, after the bell, elbows, etc. Someone is either disqualified or KOd for sure. I cold see both guys hitting the canvas in a wild tough man competition type of fight.

Old Foreman vs Prime Tyson: Probably Tyson UD if he fights a smart fight keeping a tight guard and picking his shots carefully with good timing and counters. He's struggle a bit with Foreman's sheer physicality, heavy jab, and fortress like chin/endurance, but Tyson lands enough clean fast punches ever round to convince the judges while getting buzzed or rocked every now and then.

Old Foreman vs Post Prison Tyson: It's only competitive for about 3 rounds. Tyson looks good early with flashes of his younger self with sizzling handspeed, thumping body shots, and good head movement. Then Foreman slowly grinds and wears him down with his non stop juggernaut offense behind a heavy jab and clubbing shots. Old Foreman drops a gassed Tyson by the end of the 9th round and TKOs him before the bell.

    Esteemed poster ?

What is that ? Some fat guy with 4578952 posts hitting the keyboard who never ever saw the inside of a Gym ?

If past prime Ali with no legs can hit prime Foreman with lead right hands at will.........

If fringe contender Lyle can put you down and almost out.......

If a feather fisted contender can win and made Foreman quit for more than a decade..........

Second coming acted mainly as a heavybag vs hand picked opponents who he went life and death with ?

The same guy who could not get rid of Palookas Stewart/Saverese/Schulz/Grimsley..................even lost to cherry picked Tommy Chin.....hit Gold vs a feeble minded glass chinned Ex Light Heavy who got Holyfield on a mal functioning Roid Cycle and rather than defending against anybody worth a lick got stripped..................

Fellas… Look what Evander did, all those punches he ate, Tyson will be swinging his whole body into each shot he’ll take off Foreman’s head early rounds…

You realise framing and pushing isn’t all that? Not sure why people bring it up so often, Watch what happened when he tried it against Alex Stewart.

Yes Tyson had a better chin than Frazier he took single punches better than most Heavyweights in history.

Frazier would've been KO'ed from the powerful hooks and uppercuts from Ruddock that Tyson took if Frazier was hit that many times from a powerhouse like Ruddock.

Frazier had more heart and will than Tyson but clearly Tyson has a better chin.

And yet framing and pushing is what won him the heavyweight championship.

Citing a single fight from when Foreman was a literal Grandpa as proof it wouldn't be effective is pretty nonsensical.

Who is Tyson more similar to in style: Frazier, or Stewart?

Who is Tyson closer in size to: Frazier, or Stewart?

It’s funny what some guys notice, Frazier just might not have - it is valid, it doesn’t make a difference if you’re old or young the counters for a jab, right hand, left hook are the same… timing changes.

You aren’t the gestapo so no, I also don’t like how you’re asking either Glass. I gave you an example of what happens when someone picks up on pushing and framing, it isn’t that hard to counter and it doesn’t make a difference to my point if Foreman was old… if he was young what is he going to push faster???? Again, Timing changes nothing else, if anything his framing, pushing game is better old he was bigger, stronger etc.
