George Foreman VS the smaller men Myth

    It is not only a matter of size but also of style.

    Putting him in with sombody like Tommy Loughran might be an interesting experiment.

    I didn't know it was a 'smaller men' myth, I thought it was his stylistic advantage over come forward fighters.

    Exactly...the point is that because he happened to KO Frazier does not mean he can dominate every small fighter and Quawi at 5"51/2 hit him plently, Foreman was on his 2nd career but that 2nd career is part of his legasy. D.Q. did not run and D.Q. was not a prime fighter either.

    Also, Qawi hadn't even trained for the fight. He was brought in at two-weeks notice (or less) if I remember rightly.

    True, but you can see how Quawi fought George on the inside and landed well and Quawi was not a big puncher. Frazier fought a stupid fight and really could not recup enough to land anything back with power. Joe stayed at the end of Foremans punches. Still Joe got up 6 times and would have gotten up again but he was never in the fight, he just never recovered but Frazier only had 29 pro fights at that time but already was on the downslide from Ali 1
