Top 5 sometimes number 3 in my opinion. Foreman's placement in the top 10 is unquestionable. H2H 40-0 Foreman beats every heavy except ALI. I go back and forth on Tyson/Foreman. Comeback career George had to fight a bunch of bums to build up his game again, new man with a new style. Great wins though Cooney, Moorer, etc. The Olympic Gold Medal after a short amateur career and the way George conducted himself was memorable. He's a living legend imo.
Foreman is great, no question. I've come to the conclusion that he's very overrated, though. He belongs in the top 10, most likely, but he's just so hittable. I think a fighter who's got a good chin and some defense with the ability to capitalize on the abundant counter opportunities could have a field day. That list of fighters is thin, but to think that Ali is the only one who could have knocked him out is silly. Again, good luck trying to get in there, though.
He had the most padded record and carefully moved but had a lot of power. The Lyle fight made Ron look like a monster because George was so easy to hit and hurt but it also showed that Big George had a lot of heart. Up until that point in time George avoided the punchers like Quarry & Bonavena and slicker guys like Ellis. He caught Frazier at the right time but looked like a monster & Joe got up 6 times 2nd career was padded but had some good showings over Cooney, Moorer & a few, but also showed a vulnerable side vs Stewart, did not look great against the 5'6 Quawi was out boxed by Tommy Morrison and could not crack that middleweight chin In Career 2 he did learn some of the Mongoose's tricks but learned to pace himself and put more body in his shots then the roundhouse wide swings still a great fighter I have him somewhere below the middle of my top ten
