Get this, Groves was winning the first fight before the ridiculous stoppage. The second fight was pretty even before he got caught with a great shot. Let’s not rewrite history and make out it was some kind of one-sided beat down that aged Groves. That experience made him a world champion a few years later. You can’t stand Groves and it affects your judgement massively.
The first fight went another thirty seconds, Froch wins and the rematch never happens. Groves would have probably had a longer career as a result imo. I like Groves a lot, I've seen him live more than any other fighter as it goes, so please don't try and project your cod psychology onto me. I do however have a proven eye for a shot to pieces fighter, and George fits the bill better than anyone I can think of at the moment.
This is your subjective biased opinion. I take note on what you type on here and the other forum. You are a huge Froch fan and you love this idea that he took Groves’s soul so to speak. He’s an alternative opinion...some refs might have waved that fight off in the first round when Froch has bambi legs. For the record I don’t believe it should have been but i’ve seen fights stopped a lot for similar scenarios. You may have seen Groves live tons but I have never ever seen you post anything positive about him. Junior was going to destroy him according to you...your reason of thinking ‘Groves is shot’. ZZZZzzzzzz
Kalle Sauerland said the Super middleweight final will be announced TOMORROW. Please be Groves vs. Smith!
How do you think Callum fares against young CHRIS? I don’t see how he keeps him off tbh. Eubank jr TKO imo Then he dedicates the trophy to George, would be a nice touch from the guy who ended his career to give something back
Incorrect. Keep trying to put me into a nice tidy box that suits your simple mind though by all means pal.
Simple mind, haha. Maybe I have. In the last few posts I’ve tried debating with you respectively but I think Jonny may have put you in a nice tidy box earlier.
Fact is Froch was more hurt in the first round than Groves was at the time of the stoppage. Still pisses me off to this day thinking about it.
The early stoppage was unfair on Groves but it also robbed Froch of a convincing, proper stoppage win cos that's what would've happened IMO. The early stoppage done nobody any favours at the time. I say at the time, because without it there probably wouldn't have been the rematch. So in the long run I suppose it did do both a favour in regards to their bank balance.
Power and reach. The same way Groves did. Callum is basically a light heavy. Junior a middle. The size difference will be immense.
