For sure Forgetting tthe stoppage..... I'm just coming to terms with the two 76-75 scorecards.... am I that drunk? wtf did I just watch? 76-75 with a knock down in the first round.... somebody explain to me what happened?
Steve Collins just said it looked like the Ref stopped the fight so that Carl Froch can stay champ. I agree
2 refs had Froch winning 4 of the first 8 rounds. Boxing is just a bloody joke sport. Less credible than Jamaican athletics.
Groves was going to be stopped imo, but I agree bad bad stoppage. No way would he have stopped Froch like that so its BS.
Lucky if Froch has taken 1 or 2 of the complete rounds. He was knocked down and really should have a had a point away. Poor refereeing and judging. Corruption at its best/worst
He's the champ in my eyes. Extremely respectful even after that shocking stoppage. We were robbed of a great finale. This seems to happen way too often for it to be just an unlucky incident. Eddie, the ref and the officials need to be investigated as they've robbed Groves from being a world champion.
No he isn't.....but he probably could have been, he had the look of a man who wouldn't be denied on the night.....if it had gone the distance he would have won on points......would he though looking at two of the scorecards?The end didn't do Carl any favours though either he could have stopped Gerge and what an achievement that would have been.George will come again and was the moral victor....Will Carl ever be the same again?
When the dust settles, this will do wonders for Groves popularity. Groves made a lot of fans tonight and rightly so
Yes everybody who watched that fight knows that Groves put in a brilliant performance and he is the one that walks out the arena with his head held high knowing that he stepped in the ring with somebody who has been in countless world title fights and put him on his back. He was robbed simple as. Credit to George Groves!
