I am very hopeful this fight can happen but do feel Groves will need to pick up a world title. Maybe the WBO is the easiest route especially if he beats Robert Stieglitz after the demolition job he did on Arthur Abraham. He will step up in a lot of peoples minds. Bika would also be a big name to beat but I think Stieglitz would earn a bit more credibility even though I think Bika is the hardest fight. Then Brian Magee would be a fantastic gatekeeper to the Froch fight. Would be good step up to build that for a PPV. Then the winner maybe a shot at Andre Ward at Wembley in a massive massive fight. Especially as Hearn has a few fighters challenging and already world champions Ricky Burns in unification bout v Vasquez/Abril Tony Bellew (if he can beat Dawson in his shot) Kell Brook v Amir Khan (especially if one of them picks up a world title) Brian Rose (on the fringes of a world title shot aswell) Lee Selby If he could get David Haye on the card aswell we have the momentum in the sport to make the biggest fights especially with the stadiums we have at our disposal. Just depends if people play ball and the fights can be made.
Magee then Stieglitz or vice verse. The Stieglitz fight would give a real indication of Groves chances against Froch. Not to undermine Groves, but holding his low hands against a Froch with reckless combo lunges could spell a very early night for him. Sure he could catch Froch coming in etc, but every opponent Froch has faced has caught him coming in and it hasn't deterred him any.
