I don't see how Froch will be able to land without getting countered though even if he is more cautious. If Froch comes in cautious that will suit Groves imo who can box from the outside. Froch is what, 36/37? He isn't going to be able to change his style much at this stage, he always comes in open esp vs a decent counter puncher and I think Groves is more open to improvement in the rematch while I don't think Froch can get much better. While I see it as a close fight, the discrepency in odds is too big considering Froch was being beaten soundly a few months ago and I don't see what changes he can make to turn it around that dramatically.

i really like Carl and respect to him for making the fight, but I see him being slaughtered. He never was the cleanest puncher in the world and Groves is technically very good.

Just hope Carl doesnt get hurt.

Froch has learnt from his mistakes though. He realises crowding Groves and not boxing in the middle of the ring is what he needs to do.. He knows he can TKO Groves and his confidence will increase because of that..

He did shock everyone, myself included, in his boxing ability when he fought Abraham. Abraham is also a vicious counter puncher with serious power and Froch fought him from the outside and rarely engaged. He can apply a similar tactic or improve his aggression against Groves without being wide open for those counters. So far I think the rematch is 50/50 in terms of ability but we'll see what both bring this time. I just don't expect Froch to show no respect and charge in with both hands down this time around.

Depends how the last fight affected Froch, I really do think Froch took him a bit lightly and although Groves was 4 / 5 rounds up Froch was getting on top in that fight.
Froch is a genuine 12 round fighter and is dangerous in the whole fight. Groves needs to be perfect or he will be hurt at some point and Froch is a genuine finisher.

It would have it 55 / 45 in favour of Froch

    I think Froch will win.
The difference is he knows what to expect this time and has to do nothing other than win.
He'll stAy on the outside and look for a points win which will force Groves to come after him

How does he know he can TKO Groves??

And dont say he has already done it , because this is the whole reason for the rematch.

Froch will be put on his ass multiple times in this fight

He will get frustrated and walk on to huge right hands.

I don’t see an annihilation at all, I currently feel its about 50/50.

GG prides himself on outthinking opponents, he brought up the Degale fight on Ringside last night were he made everyone (including Degale) expect a bad tempered war of attrition, then boxed off the back foot the entire fight. I can see him trying this again to try and save energy for later in the fight.

The fight I think will come down to how much Carl makes Groves work early on. Groves stamina is not great, he has faded in a few fights and I think Carl would have eventually got him in the first fight. If Froch comes out wary and tries to box Groves he will be picked off and GG may have enough in the tank to see out the championship rounds.

If Froch comes out and jumps on Groves from round 1 and is still around after 6 he will break Groves down late.

My prediction, Carl comes out slow but is coming on late in fight nowhere near as entertaining as the first. A close decision, one that the losing side heavily disputes either way, depending on if the judges go for the aggressor (Froch) or the cleaner boxing (Groves). A bit like Froch Dirrell but closer (Had Dirrell a close but clear winner in that one)

In the first fight Groves had Froch on the backfoot for most of the fight as I can remember, and was spanking him silly. Groves beats Froch on the inside and outside. Froch cannot win a points decision, The only shot he has is absobing shots until Groves is tired and then stop him late, this is the only way Froch can win. If Froch tries to box Groves on the outside he'll lose a onesided UD

    SoftD you mut

Every post you make is agressive to other posters. You are a mongrel who likes to bark but cant back it up :hi:

You love to hate Froch, whats wrong with you sad man? The rematch is a pick em fight, which is why its so big. If it was a mismatch like you make out nobody would be interested

Now get back in your kennel

Really is a pick em fight although I said that the first time and everybody I know laughed. Think Groves takes this one. Too many miles on the clock for Froch and I think that last fight took a lot out of him

This will be the mother of all beatings, Froch will have no other option than to retire after the brutal beating he will sustain.

groves needs to keep up the workrate for the whole fight. The people who beat froch are the ones with great engines. froch was coming on stronger up to the weak stoppage and looks like he was going to stop him in the next round or so.

edit* i also agree with alot of people saying froch isn't looking as good as he used to
