Ali, Lalonde, Daniels, undefeated Maynard, Sutherland, undefeated Kakar and Jim McDonald is not a bad line-up. I would argue it was better than what Carpentier racked up on the level... outside of the fleecing of the public for 1 M I L L I O N dollars...

You have no idea of Cyzy. He was wide open for Carpentiers best punch....Straight right. Watch what a great straight right did to Cyzy when he faced Prince Williams. Carp would destroy Cyzy.

How did Carpentier get beat up and stopped by Siki a really poor champion? It's a mystery.
The sum total of Carps achievements lies in a win over a decidedly average ,and definitely past it champion who was protected by the No Dec rules ,and wins over a very poor crop of British heavyweights.

Holy is very dirty too. A much better fighter, but not exactly a mensa guy!

I'm beginning to wonder if McVey really likes the POS types out of the ring, for whatever reason.

Birds of a feather flock together?

I'd like you to answer my question ,what was the "excessive fouling " that Carpentier was retaliating to?
Two of us would like to know your answers to our questions .

"Outside of his alcohol problems out of the ring what other things make him a disgrace?" Richdanahuff.since you've found time to post again on this thread, perhaps you'll be good enough to answer us?

I know very little of either fighter, to be honest.

I do know that if either you or Mc state the sky is blue, that the other will say the opposite out of principle, though! I learn quite a bit out of your clashes, so that's good enough for me ;) Both of you have a deep knowledge of boxing.

A single loss does not destroy a fighters long term career accomplishments. Carp was champion in many multiple weight divisions starting I believe as a welterweight. As a hwt he did fairly well vs Jeanette. He was considered an ATG for many years so he rises above the likes of a Cyzy who was never much of anything.

What are his long term accomplishments? Name his 3 best wins at lightheavy? To be considered an ATG you need some substance to your resume, winning domestic titles at different weights does not make you an ATG.

He made a statement referring to Siki's," excessive fouling," apart from tripping Carpentier once there was none .Carpentier was butting him, thats the whole crux of it. He won't reply ,he never does when he gets proven wrong.

The ringside judges disqualified Siki, who is you watch the film kicked Carpentier. I'd say a kick is an excessive foul.

    Here is your post.

"Retaliation for excessive fouling does not make one a dirty fighter, especially if the Ref is not docking points. I do not fault Carpentier here"

Its bullsh*t one foul end of.
