You can get banned on this forum for making public a message sent to you by another poster in which you are twice accused of being a ********** because in your avatar you are pictured standing with your arm around your grandson who was having his first fight. He also called me a racist and challenged me to a fight which, being 40 years younger he would be favourite for ,against any one of my 4 lads he would not.
The poster who sent that disgusting message is still posting here and has not been banned ,warned, or even cautioned for it.
You can also get banned for matching the best white champs against the best black champs. Though the leading British boxing writer Peter Wilson did it in the most widely circulated English paper, the Daily Mirror without any negative fall out.
A mod made a post asking what would have happened if Jack Johnson had been white? Nothing happened about that.
I guarantee you if I had made one asking what if Marciano was black? I would be banned.
I was banned for those two things and also for overiding the censor asterisk symbol about 10 years ago.

    Three times in16 years
Dont look for even-handedness, consistency or fairness here!
And don't be surprised if you see booted next to my name after this post.. But the truth is the truth.
I used to think discovering something about a fight or a fighter and making the fact known here would make an interesting subject and give others some little enjoyment,I was naive enough to think that would be a worthwhile act to do here.
Now I couldnt give a flying ****. The thought police have the forum they want and the posters they want.
Posters who will call you a paedo, and challenge you ,40 years their senior ,to a fight .
You'll be surprised with how much you can get away with here ,and conversely what will get you banned for 2 weeks!

In which fights can we see these speed and reflexes.?At which point in the 2nd Sharkey fight and the 2nd Ruhlin fight are these demonstrated?

    For his major title fights.
    Sharkey2
    Fitz1&2
    Corbett 1&2
    Ruhlin2.
    His average weight was 213lbs.

GC I don't care any more ,while I was banned two posters continually disparaged me,though I had put them on ignore ,one of them, a brave soul told posters I have mental health issues, and then, when I returned, welcomed me back and invited me to vote and participate on his thread. The other has accused just about everyone who disagrees with him [most of the forum,]of being an alt of me and has twice in the last few days called two posters mentally handicapped, has he been banned, or warned, of course not.
Good guys like yourself and others deserve better here but you ain't going to get it! It wont affect to me because they will boot me, and probably today.

Well I hope not, ever since I joined you've been one of the good-uns. I think I can guess one of the posters, but I don't feel a need to name names.

And as the issue RE: Alts, is that my understanding is it's not even a bannable offence if you're only using one of the accounts.

No.no need to name names. The excuse to ban me will be for making an inflammatory post, anyone been inflamed by my posts? If I'm not banned soon they will just arbitrarily delete my posts without comment.
Enough personal ****,it was just for the record, however briefly it is visible.

Well, if you do get banned I'd feel bad if I didn't ask how you were holding up with Lockdown and Corona. How's going with it, Mc?

I am talking about the sparring footage, which is of a much higher quality than any of his fights.

Now OK you could argue that it is sparring, and that he migth not be able to replicate some of those moves against a better opponent, but it still tells us certain truths about him.

He is obviously fast for a man of his size, and he obviously has good reflexes, and ability to judge distances.

The idea that he was slow or uncoordinated, is simply false.
Probably all of them, on the night of the fight, give or take a pound or two.

To be honest GC it hasn't really affected me and my partner too much, she has got me to decorate just about every room, and now pottering around in the garden most days enjoying the sun. I'm able to exercise my dogs on a local farm I have permission on,it has a water reservoir for the crops so they can swim there. I'm really missing the kids and grandkids, and the pub weekends,a game of cards, and my jazz gig on a Sunday.Other than that holidays to the Dominincan Republic ,and Europe have been cancelled .but I've flight vouchers for them so no worries. So many people have had tragedies to contend with during this time personally we have been very lucky. Make sure you and yours keep safe,it looks like ,in the UK at least ,we may be turning the corner with this terrible virus.

The training session you refer to was for the second Ruhlin fight and was not run at the right speed ,also he is sparring with his brother who was practically useless and would therefore make anyone look good.
Look at Jack Johnson nimbly darting about shadow boxing with dumb-bells in his hands. He never fought like that and Jeffries never did either. I didn't say Jeffries was slow and uncoordinated, I questioned your statement that he was speedy with quick reflexes.
Against a 39 years old Fitzsimmons who had been retired for 2 years he was described as being hit at will when and where Fitz wanted to hit him.How do you reconcile the two ?

That's great news mate, glad to see everything is going well, sorry to hear about the holiday though. Seems like everyone's redecorating!

Yeah, my family's fine and hopefully it stays that way. I honestly think this lockdown has been a blessing in disguise (for me at least), as I've been given my qualifications, a five month summer and enough space to re-evaluate what's actually important in my life (I'd lower my time here too, but there's **** all else to do!).

But anyways, I'm glad to hear you're staying safe pal.

The fact that he is sparring his brother might make him look good, but it won't make him look faster, more coordinated, or batter able to judge distance.

these are attributes that we can see from the footage.

Any objective observers can see that. Jeffries movement skills, reflexes and defensive, when he wants to use defense are good. Not a bad counter guy, and he's obviously strong enough to swing a 200 pound man around easily. Yes it was sparring, he's holding back, not going all out.

The film runs a little slow ( Notice how slow people are walking in the background ) which makes Jeffries speed even more impressive. The full film includes Jeffries stretching out, doing medicine ball works, skipping rope and lifting weights. He's flexible for a big guy and very strong. The footwork and coordination on the jump rope is impressive. Ruhlin works out too, the jump rope is not his thing.

As I said it is not run at the right speed.
