A guess in 2022 we can revisit this… Would Inoue go life and death against Isaac Pitbull Cruz? He has an argument for beating the limited tank. Let’s not forget that Santa Cruz was up against Davis too, until the stoppage of course. From memory, Barrios was too.
Is this a thread to see who are the biggest Inoue nuthuggers are? Tank destroys him. It would be a highlight uppercut like LSC.
I think Inoue would be dangerous early and it's not that he would necessarily fade but the accumulation of Davis' strength and power would break down and destroy Inoue. It's possible for Inoue to win, but for me to see it as anything likely I would think Inoue would have to seriously bulk up with the use of PED's probably being needed.
Inoue beats everyone from 118 to 168 sans Loma whose skills and slickness is off the charts and even then he'd stand a way better chance of beating this aged way past prime Loma than he would a prime or closer to prime version of him. I'm so confident of Inoue beating anyone from 118 to 168 I'm willing to take a permanban bet if fights between him and any of his fellow top 10 P4P peers ever materialize. So that means Inoue vs the likes of #3 Crawford, #4 Spence, #5 Clenelo, #8 Josh Taylor, and #9 Jermello. FTR, I'm picking him to smoke all of those, if any of them are actually willing to take that test that is.
I think Inoue P4P is a level above Davis but I'm not sure Inoue can go up that high and be as effective. We need to see if his power goes up with him at 122 and 126 before I would even consider having Inoue as the favourite. So right now Davis has to be favoured based on what we've seen so far.
Davis, whatever else one may think of him, his power is genuine and has had demonstrated effects against much larger competition. This match-up is absurd on its face. We don't know for certain how effective Inoue's power will be at 122, much less 130.
Inoue lays Tank out and makes him wish he was back on the streets of West Baltimore instead of inside the ring with Monster.
