I think it comes from some sort of extreme, mutated form of Anglo-Saxon Protestant culture.
Slaving away for 15 hours a day to make another man richer doesn't make you stronger, it makes you weak. We live in the Modern age, not some ancient farming society that requires 12+ hours a day. What makes you stronger is being with your family, your friends, and striving for self-improvement. This is strength.
This is the type of guy they market 75 dollar dollar PPVs to because they know he'll happily buy it and THANK them for the price.
Even 49.99 seems like too much. I don't know how they expect to make money from PPVs when they're becoming incredibly expensive and pirating is easier than ever.
It would be better than what we normally get. Seems like every PPV these days is $75+ featuring a hype job vs no hoper.
