because they have been watching boxing for the last 4 years and only like Hatton or JC. i got into work last monday an everybody there was claiming joe is the best fighter in the world. so i asked them a simple question. "who is better p4p SRR or JC" and 4 out of the 5 boys in my office said JC and when i stated that it is SRR they only reply was "did he lose" when i said yes they said "then JC is better as he is undefeated"

i am a JC fan but i am not a nut hugger and the things i have heard on this board the last month or so have made me ashamed

Its very easy for a casual fan to look at records and base their analysis on defeats rather than wins. It doesnt bother me too much that the general public doesnt realise how good, for example, SRR was. In fact, it gives me a little smug feeling that I know so much more than them! Its only when I've had a skin full and try to speak to people who know nothing about the sport why you cant judge Duran on the no mas fight that I start to get wound up!

it got annoying as came out and said that RJJ would have been alot better in prime and JC would have had a different man infront of him and would have been his hardest fight and he could have lost and i would have given it 55-45 for RJJ.
and for the full day i got slagged off for this with them saying that rjj said he was in the best shape of his life and there is only 3 years age difference and why did he not retire years ago then.

TOM-TOM you clearly dont know your facts.
    1) fact...2002 hopkins ducked calzaghe
    2) jones had opportunity to fight calzaghe way back which he didnt instead he chose to stay in his comfort zone
    3) hopkins had made a career on beating guys in smaller weight divisions
    4) calzaghe fought in america twice
    5) hopkins and jones did not seem interested in the likes of eubank, benn, especially collins..

If you take into account population size, Britain produces more World Champions per capita than almost any other nation on Earth.

Get REAL about Amnerican Hype Jobs....

Before Calzaghe humiliated Jones 9shot or not).... American Turds on here were saying RJJ would beat Calzaghe....in fact many of the (US) boxing press and fighters picked RJJ to beat Calzaghe.

Even Hopkins admitted Calzaghe is a more difficult fight than RJJ... even though he predicted RJJ to win (in the same interview)..

US turds were hyping Pavlik up and saying Calzaghe dodged him, they would say the same if Calzaghe hadn't destroyed Lacy's career....and now they want Chad (who the **** is he) Dawson.... Typical ****ing yanks always hyping up these bums....

Even that fat big mouth Toney (as skilled as he may be) would never be mentioned as ATG if he wasn't American.... if he was a "euro-bum" or from latin America.... he'd just be another skilled fighter who didn't live up to his hype/potential.... but because he's a loud mouthed fat American fuc.... He's considered ATG, even better than RJJ by some partisan fanatics.... If Calzaghe was American he would be considered the best of the bunch.... I personally donb't rate Calzaghe that high..... but he's certainly at the same level as Hopkins who I thought beat him.... even though it was very close..... and it shows Hopkins was still good at 43, as his next fight he schooled the supposed next big american thing - Pavlik.
