Despite being the bigger fighter , I don't believe Ward is physically stronger than Triple G .

But he doesn't have to be..

I really don't see your view at all any longer. prior to the kovalev fight, I thought anything could be possible and ward might possibly be able to compete and battle on even terms with ggg, but he's on even terms with Kovalev which means he has no chance to beat a ggg.

I truly thought Kovalev was much more of a beast than he is . what I mean is, Kovalev I thought could fight strong 12 straight 15 hell 20 if neended rounds of the toughest rounds . he faded horribly, not horribly where he let ward beat him up but he should had been able to destroy ward, no excuses.

He showed how far superior he was but ward was 100% right, Kovalev is a bully, and he started to break, he didn't fold but he started showing cracks , ward was showing mentle and Kovalev was showing cracking. Front runner is what he is going to be ...

Ward was hurt in the 1st, hurt bad and down in the 2nd, beat up in the 3rd and 4th. it took ward to round 6 to start fighting close to evenly after losing 5 straight rounds and being hurt a few times.

Why was ward stronger in rounds 7 through 9 than Kovalev ? why was Kovalev not able to corner him and take him out ? if that were ggg ward would had been destroyed .

Ward fought rounds 6 through 12 on better than evenough terms, that's more a knock on Kovalev than ward doing something spectacular , because ward fought anything but spectacular , showed great heart from trying to continue to win after taking multiple rounds of beatings..

For me, GGG is on a whole different level than the rest, Kovalev and ward are pretty much of the same level, couple levels below ggg

 

You ggg stans are the biggest ******s in the game right now, Golovkin would get totally wrecked by Kovalev and Ward. Beating up bums and finding ways out of fights don't make you great, y'all will be in for a rude awakening when GG loses to the first guy he faces with a pulse.

I like GGG but some of the things I read on here make me wonder. When I saw an interview with GGG and Froch was mentioned (it was a while ago). In my opinion GGG didnt indicate he would have been moving up to SMW any time soon

Gotta disagree with you over strength. Ward isn't powerful we know that, but he is strong. More than held his own in the clinches with Kovalev and pushed him back at times too. Ward is stronger than GGG for sure. The rest of what you say, I totally agree with.

 

That's your opinion. I don't hold ggg to Kovs level for the simple fact one guy is proven. The other is unproven and mostly hype with no credible win to his name. Ward stepped up a division and took on the best and was the smaller man. It was an uphill battle before it even began. It won't be an uphill battle against ggg. All we've seen is ggg appear dominant against poor competition. Last fight we all seen that a decent WW's shots can find ggg and effect. Just saying you guys are buying too much into hype. GGG is older than Ward and Kov but has 20 year olds up and coming resume. And there's guys that want to fight him that are good tests like Ward and K2 wanted no parts of it.

 

Tbh there's just as much a question as to whether or not G can take the body shots up close from Ward.

Ward had Kov troubled with those body hooks and that's part of the reason he got the edge because he slowed his momentum right down.

Holy ****! These Wardo's are still buying into this media hyped child of privilege narrative even after Kovalev dominated him. Kovalev also fought the second half of the fight with a damaged right and still finished stronger than Ward. FFS Chilemba quit against Gvodzyk when he hurt his hand but Kovalev pressed on and still did damage.

Like it or not GGG is much better than Kovalev, that is plain for anyone to see. Ward is also going to be diminished from the beating Kovalev gave him. Look for Ward to start avoiding big fights again or just take a victory lap fight in Oakland then retire, thus keeping his manufactured image in tact from the media and all his sycophants.
